"Beep, Beep, Beep." the subtle beeping of the machines, sitting lowly in the background. The beeping slowly picks up as she begins to notice that Bennett was still holding her hand from the night before. Her eyes sparkle at adoration as she softly brushes his brown hair from his eyes. She notices his eyes gazing up at her. A blush sets into her face as she notices he was watching her. He laughs at her sudden shocked expression. He sits up and brings her hand up to his mouth, kissing the top of it lovingly. She brings him into her arms, she starts crying. He whispers sweet words of reassurance. The tears halt as she comes to a realization.
"I love you, I really really love you." Mara mutters. Knowingly Bennett wraps his arms around her even more than before.
"Me, too. I'm so sorry, I don't think I will even be able to explain how much regret I feel for doing that. I don't know what I was thinking, I just wanted you to notice me as something other than as a best friend." Bennett pours everything out to her, tears beginning to stream down his face. The regret that he felt was evident.

After 3 days of being at the hospital, she was finally discharged. She hated not being able to go to school because she could never see her friends. They came and visited her whenever they had a chance, but they were always busy with school or club activities.
Mara stretched her arms above her, her skin absorbing the warm kiss of the sun. She runs to Bennett's car in the parking lot, eagerly, waiting to finally go back home. Bennett had stayed with her the whole time while she was in the hospital, never leaving her side. Mara's happiness level had dramatically increased whilst they hung out. He laughs and gets in the car, to an awaiting Mara. He starts the engine and they intertwine their fingers together. Their relationship had changed, after they confessed, they decided to be each other special persons'. They were both completely unwilling to let the other be swept away by someone else. After a short drive from the hospital to Mara's house, they finally arrived. Rushing in, Mara attacks Dakota and her mother with hugs and kisses of relief. She was finally home. Bennett had decided to go home and allow her to be with her family and get some much needed sleep.
She hadn't checked her phone for quite some time and she thought that some reply texts were most overdue. She had a few snapchats from Olivia around 2-3 texts from each of her friends. What shocked her was the fact that she had none from Kaylee. She replied to all the messages and got all eager responses. She sets her phone on her bed and takes a shower. 15 minutes later she hops out feeling refreshed and relaxed. She lays down on her bed and skypes Bennett, He answer a few rings later and they talk the night away until they both of whisked off to dreams of happiness.

Another day has arrived and Mara awakes feeling good about the day ahead of her. She gets dressed and goes downstairs to eat breakfast and heads off to school. She gets out of Dakotas car and is immediately swept into the arms of Mitchell. He laughs and greets him with open arms (Literally). She is almost instantly pulled from his arms and into the chest of Bennett. Jealousy evident on his face. Obviously amused, Mitchell begins teasing Bennett. Mara wraps her arms around Bennett's waist, reassuring him.
"OOOH, somebody's whipped." Mitchell taunts. Causing Bennett to run after him, starting a game of tag. Mara laughs and begins to walk over to all of her other friends that greet her with hugs and warm welcomes. As Mara is being caught up on all the juicy details of what has happened at school while she was gone, Bennett comes up from behind her and wraps his arms around her and sets his head on her shoulder. Kissing the side of her head ever so often. The ringing of the bell, breaks the group apart and they separate to their homeroom classes. As they are walking to their class, Mara comes to a strange realization. Kaylee walked by her, not giving her a glance.
