"I'm Sorry," She replied. Tears streaming down her face as she silently weeps into her bestfriend shoulder. Their conversation was less than happy. They talked about a lot of things, but mostly about where they stand.

"I feel so lonely, I don't want to be alone.I have gotten so used to sitting by myself and being ignored that it doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the fact that this isn't the first time we have talked about this. And I can't trust that is won't happen again." Mara cries with tears rolling down her cheeks, pouring her heart out, she says what she has kept bottled up under she Chameleon scales. She changes to fit what mood is fit, hiding the true color of her feeling.

"I know, I know, I am so sorry, I never wanted you to feel that way, it's just that Finn is having a hard time and when it comes to somethings she is easier to talk to."

Pain, Pain spreads through her and coats her in a mix of sadness and vulnerability. That had hurt the young fighter more that her best friend or any of her friends for that matter will ever know. The tears stop and she stands there in shock, she stood there doubting herself and all she ever was. Was she really worth being friends with? A drop of insecurity dripped into her and it spread. A wildfire. The pain she felt from those words like a wildfire, bringing such feelings of depression and sadness with it. She knew that she was emotionally cold, but she didn't know just how much she was affecting the people around her.

"I am sorry," she pleads for her old life, "I am sorry that throughout all of my problems I was to blinded to realize that I was causing you to feel like you didn't have someone to talk to."

"I am to, I am sorry I made you feel that way, I am sorry, Can we forget this whole mess and go back to being sisters?" Kaylee asked with a voice full of hope.

"I would love that." Mara's tears came to a halt. Her worries, fears, and insecurities had gone away and she was filled with a sense of hope and happiness that was indescribable.

They walked back to Mara's locker to see many faces of worry, Bennett being the most. He cared about Mara and was willing to do anything for her.

"Ding, Ding,Ding," The school bells ring loudly, awakening the young students from their daze.Mara, Bennett, Jay, and Olivia walked to their first period class. The school day had begun.

********* Time skip to lunch**********

"Sigh," They all make a breathy moan. It was time for their much needed break, school had been very tiring.Mara was joined by all of her friends including her brother, Dakota, and his friends. Everybody got along just fine, but there was breathlessly lay silent questions being asked by everyone around them. They didn't want to step to far, so eventually they forgot about it and the problem and unknown solution was erased.

"Hey, Bennett, Can I talk to you?"  Amber, the "princess" of the cheer team, called to him.
"sure," he agreed willingly. They walk away and dread sinks into Mara's heart. She knew Amber's intentions and they were not good. Amber might play innocent, but on the inside she was just cold and icy. They walk back hand and hand, acting strangely loving for "just friends" Something was wrong.

"Meet my new boyfriend!" Amber screams excitedly to the shock group of misfits. Their eyes snap to Bennett, his eyes showed longing and...... Regret? Mara's chest contracted and she unwillingly stopped mid-breath. Her eyes widen when she realized what the words truly meant. Bennett's worried eyes bleed into Mara's head, her eyes unwilling to raise from the oh-so-interesting rock that was settled next to her. She didn't know why he did it, but she didn't care. Her worst nightmare had occurred. She had lost everyone that she was truly close with to their boyfriends/girlfriends. Her chest constricted at the thought of her best friend being taken away from her again. There was an awkward moment of silence until Amber's shrill scream broke the silence and her laugh was heard afterwards, she was celebrating. She knew how Mara felt about Bennett and this was her way of mocking her.
Mara couldn't stand to see her best friend with that leech attached to her arm, so she got up and left. Bennett tried running after her, but was stopped by his Amber. Olivia, Jay, and Kaylee ran after her. They knew the truth about how she felt and why Amber had done what she did. As they ran after her, they sent sharp gazes at Bennett and glares at Amber, that were returned, of course. After Mara got out of the sight of her friends, she ran as fast as she could to her special place. It was at the old park in the middle of town under the low hanging trees was a cave that was hidden and shrouded in mystery. She had discovered it when she was 3 after running from the bullies at her school. No one knew about this spot, not even Bennett. She knew she was safe to cry all of her worries and sadness away.

********** Back at school *********

Olivia, Jay, and Kaylee came running back their deep pants alarmed the others that something was wrong.
"Guys, Mara is missing, We can't find after she ran off we lost her." Olivia stated anxiously
"Omg, what are we going to do?" Asher exclaimed worriedly
"Wait, What did you just say?" Dakota said quickly, " Please tell me you did not just say what I think you just said." His worried gaze shifted to Bennett, Bennett was still and unmoving. Amber was shaking his arm vigorously trying to get his attention, but the shock of the news caused him to ether a state of denial and anger. He was angry at himself for causing this and causing his best friend, so much pain. Out of frustration, Amber stomped away after saying,
"I knew she couldn't handle the news, She is so weak and easily hurt. How Pathetic. Hahahaha" This caused a sense of realization in the shocked misfits.
"Wait, does that mean you did this on purpose?" Andrew asked
"Why else would I do it?" She replies with a sense of victory.
"Smack," Mitchell's had collided with Amber caked on face.
"You bitch! She did nothing to you." He scowled. Playing the innocent hurt kid, she ran off crying. She didn't quite understand the severity of what she just caused.

Mara used a secret cave as her hide-out when things got tough and she needed to cry. She refused to cry in front of others and would often take trips to her special spots. Mara never revealed the location of the spot and always took very much caution when visiting it. The odd group of people was now faced with a dilemma. The lifeline of the group had gone missing and nobody knows where she went. When will she decide that she has had enough of hiding and needed to face her own problems?

Will she ever?
