Dally's Help

"Dally!! We need to find Dally at that party so he can help us!! C'mon Ponyboy and Candy,'' Johnny ran.

He took us at a house that obviously had a party going on. Some guy opened the door. " Whaddya want?'' He was smoking.

"Where's Dally? Tell him it's Pony and Johnny," Ponyboy told the guy. He then left and Dally was then standing there.

"Hey I was at the middle of a party!! What's wrong?'' Ponyboy told Dally the whole story.

"Well that's great! Hey Pony are you wet?''

"Y-Yes-s'' He managed to stammer

"Glory Halleluja!! You'll get pneumonia before the fuzz gets here!!"

He paused and looked at me.,"Who's this?"

"Oh this is...Candy my...uh" Johnny paused and flushed. "This soc killed Bob and saved my life."

"Well then come in. All of you," Responded Dally.

Upstairs in the bedroom I waited outside while the boys changed. I wonder what my parents will do. What if I go to jail? It won't look pretty in my college application.

Johnny and Pony came out with $50, a gun, and instructions.

First we had to jump on train. After we got off we will stay at Jay Mountain.

We ran to catch a train and jumped on. I barely made it.

Johnny asked me if I was scared. "Not really. I am just new to this,"

Johnny took my hand and I blushed. "That makes us two"

The darkness continued and I just got more tired. I layed in the wood. Johnny sat next to me and watched whatever was going on outside. Eventually me and Ponyboy fell asleep.

I woke up and saw Johnny over me shaking me. "We have to jump off now,"

The train was going pretty fast which kinda scared me. I must have shown it because Johnny grabbed my hand.

"On three! One....two.....three!" We all jumped and landed in the sand. "Well this is where we'll stay," I looked up to find a church. It was pretty old and broken, but it was the only shelter around.

When we went inside, that's when I realized that I was still holding onto Johnny's hand. I didn't mind. In fact, it felt good.

We looked around. I really didn't like the place. I bet if we looked there would be rats and lots of spiders or something.

"Well, this will do for now. We better go to sleep," Said Ponyboy as he lay down on the steps. I went to sleep on the floor and Johnny asked me "Are you cold? Do you want me to...lay next to you?" And the truth is it really was. I agreed. He laid next to me and wrapped his arm over me. And that is how we fell asleep.
