~ Liam ~
Liam sat down beside Anna with an amused look on his face. He silently chuckled to himself as he glanced at her. Her lips were slightly parted, and her blue eyes were wide. "Liam Payne," the minister said grabbing his attention. "Nice of you to join us. And you brought a friend." Adam looked at Louis who was sitting beside Liam.
Liam did nothing, but smirk at him. As Anna's father began preaching about God, faith, and giving people second chances, Liam decided to annoy Anna. He loved it when she was mad. It made him believe Anna wasn't always such a goody - goody . "Surprise," he whispered in her ear slightly making her jump in her seat.
Anna turn her head to face Liam with a scowl on her face. "Now is not the time, Liam," Anna replied trying her best to only be heard by Liam.
"I'm sorry about the other day," he continued keeping his voice low. All Anna did was shake her head, and mouth "No,"
"What?" he asked raising his eyebrows and smirking at her. "You don't forgive me?"
Anna took a deep breath making Liam let out a quiet laugh at her frustration. "If I forgive you, would you quiet?" she asked giving Liam an annoyed look.
Liam's smirk widened knowing he succeeded his task to make Anna mad and annoyed. "Yup,"
As Anna opened her mouth to speak, her father cut her off making everyone direct their attention at them. "Anna and Liam. Do you two have anything to say about this?" he asked putting his hands on his hips.
Liam was confused, but refused to show it. He knew Anna would save his ass while she was trying to say her own. "Um, Liam was just telling me how much he agrees with you. He does believe in second chances, and hopes that this town would kindly give him one as well as God." Anna answered in a calm voice; which made her sound believable.
"I'm glad to hear that," Adam smiled. "I hope you all forgive Liam, and give him a second chance."
Liam smiled, and turned his head to look at Anna. She was biting her lip, and looked very nervous for some reason. Liam had no clue why. They believed her lie, and she's not in any more trouble with the minister, so why would she be nervous?
After another one hour of listening to the minister preach, and the choir sing, church was over."You go ahead," Liam said to Louis. "I'll see you at home."
"Don't do anything stupid, mate," Louis warned before leaving the church.
Liam watched as Anna, and her father thanked for coming. He waited until everyone has left to go up to the minister with a piece of paper and pen in his hand. "I need you to sign this for me, sir." Liam said to the minister, trying his best to sound like a gentleman.
"Oh, yes," he replied taking the pen and paper from Liam's hands.
"What's that for?" Anna asked looking at Liam as the minister signed the paper.
"The judge told Liam he needed to join a club or committee if he wanted to be freed. Since Liam didn't want to join the church choir or the chess club, the judge decided that he must get a job, and come to church every Sunday until he graduates." Adam explained.
"But, what does that have to do with you signing this paper?" Anna asked directing her attention to her father.
"My signature proves that Liam came to church today." he answered handing Liam back the now signed paper, and pen.
As Liam left the church, he quickly whispered in Anna's ear. "See you around, Angel." He saw her jump at the sound of his voice. That never gets old. Liam thought as he put his helmet on, and drove away on his motorcycle.
