Chapter 4 Stuck in the Hospital

When Alison woke up she was back in her hospital room, family sitting in the corner, and the doctor coming towards the bed.
"Hi Alison. How are you feeling?" the doctor asked.
"Hi....um I guess I feel okay. My shoulder is a bit sore though," she answered
"Well I assumed it would be because you got 40 stitches!"
"WHAT!?"
"When falling you fell half on the curb and partially on a piece of glass."
"Oh,"
Alison looked down and saw the wrap around her chest/back that was covering the stitches.
"You should be okay to leave in two days and I was told you play softball, you should be able to start playing again in three to four weeks. And before you ask, yes you will still be able to pitch but at first you have to take it easy."
"Okay, it's not like I play that much anyway," she murmured the last part.
Just then Alex wheeled inside the room in her wheelchair.
"Hey," Alex said
"Hi," Alison replied
"I'm going to get my crutches fitted in a few so I thought I would stop by and say hi,"
"Well I'm glad you did, the doctor said I have to stay the night and probably half of a day tomorrow,"
"I'll stay with you, we are only missing
a day of school which our parents wouldn't of let us go to anyway."
"Thanks,"
"Anytime,"
Alex had to leave just a few minutes after to go get her crutches fitted.

After about a half hour, Alex came back to Alison's room. She walked like she had crutches for a long time.
"Hey sis,"
"Hey, so I see you got used to your crutches already,"
"Yup, they are actually pretty easy to use," she said showing her sister how she moved around.
"Well, it's getting a bit late and I have to be back in my room by 8:00, but good news! See that bed? They are moving me in your room!"
"That's AWSOME but when?"
"Just a few minutes, I'll be back for good!"
Alex walked, well hopped out of the room and returned shortly after. In followed some nurses, two doctors, and her parents all carrying things for Alex and Alison.
