Scarlett sighed, of course this was how her senior year was going to begin. Walking into school, she had immediately spotted the 'Queen Bee' of the school. Melissa McHenry was walking down the hallway, and she was headed straight for Scarlett. Melissa stopped right in front of Scarlett and reapplied her seven layers of lip gloss.

"Well, well, well, look what we have here. If it isn't Miss Little Red Riding Hood herself", she laughed and walked off.

Fighting back tears, memories flashed before Scarlett's eyes. She remembered the end of last year, when her embarrassment was everyone's joke.

Flashback:

Sky smiled as she walked down the hallway with her best friend, Quinn. They were discussing last night's biology homework, when suddenly, Sky went sprawling across the floor. She felt a cold substance on her back, and she shivered. Then, she heard two cackling laughs.

Glancing upwards, she spotted Melissa and her lead minion, Sarah.

"Oh, I am SO sorry about that little spill, do you want me to clean that up for you?", she asked while dumping a whole water bottle on Scarlett, "There, just perfect! See you later, sweetie!"

But right before she turned and strutted down the hall, Melissa took a picture of Scarlett, posting it to every school feed there was.

End Flashback:

Since then, she had been laughed at until the end of the year. Finally, summer had passed, and the issue blew over. But Sky knew she would have to avoid Melissa for the rest of the year if she wanted to pass senior year smoothly. Unfortunately, that wasn't going to be as easy as it sounded.

Do I really look that bad?, Sky thought to herself, glancing down at her outfit.

It was warm outside, as the summer weather continued, so she had decided on a white tank top, with light pink shorts. She had a light, flower-print cardigan on top, in order to follow the dress code at school. She was also wearing a beautiful pink feather necklace, that matched exactly with her shorts. As a finishing touch, she had added her brown, strappy sandals.(A/N: I will try and post a picture of her outfits at the beginning of each chapter, scroll up to see! If there are multiple outfits, then they will be in the order that they are mentioned in the story.)

No, she decided. She looked fine. Great, even. There was absolutely no way her designer clothes could fail her now.

Rounding a corner, she spotted a redhead. Breaking into a run, she chased the girl and jumped onto her shoulders.

     "Quinn, it's been so long!"

" Sky, is that you?", Quinn Tremaine exclaimed.

The girls hugged, and made plans to meet up after school.

Just then, the bell rang, signalling that they now had five minutes to get to class.  The girls stopped outside of room A6.

"See you after school, Quinn!"

Quinn reached out and grabbed Sky's wrist, "I can't hold it back anymore, I need to know. Is everything okay with your mom at home? And, look Sky, I saw what happened with Melissa-"

"Don't worry about me, I can handle it, and you know that, right?", Sky said, sporting a fake smile. She looked down and willed the tears away. Glancing up, Sky said," I'll see you later, Quinn."

                                                                                    ***

Sky let out a sigh of relief as she rested her head on her locker. The rest of the day had passed by smoothly, and her teachers seemed to love her. Grabbing her bag, she turned to head outside, only to see her books go flying out of her arms and onto the ground.
