Chapter fifteen: Resolved

Cara's POV
I had forgotten to tell Jacob something I saw. I started to tell him about Jessica struggling to push the boy off when we heard a scream. Jacob and I flew off of the couch and into Jessica's room in a matter of seconds. Jessica lay on the bed underneath the boy trying to push him off. He started to lean in when Jacob shoved him off and pulled Jessica into a hug. She cried into his shoulder as I pinned the boy against the wall, too strong for him to fight off.

(later) Jessica and Jacob sat together cuddling and giggling while I texted a friend from back home. His name is Lucas, and he had always been so sweet to me, yet when I needed a challenge he was there to push me. An example would be in sixth grade when I was trying to make the basketball team and he coached me for several days until I was good enough to make the team. He was there for me to spill my problems too, and I was there for him aswell. Right now I was telling him about my problems and laughing at what he had to say.
