Chapter 3 - The bite

Stiles POV
"Hey Lydia, you look like.... Your gonna ignore me. Again." I said as Lydia walked straight passed me into school. We haven't talked since 4th grade and I'm pretty sure she doesn't remember me but hopefully my 10 year plan will come into action soon. Anyway, as I am walking to class I notice Jackson and Lydia swallowing each other "Ekkk". I tried to ignore and keep walking but I bump into Allison. "Sorry, have you seen Scott" she says. " No but I will talk to him when I get home" I reply.

As night falls and I am in my dads car, a police report comes over the radio. "A dead body reported in the woods" I describe to Scott as I reach his house. We run into the woods as we look for the body. "It was reported to be here" I hear mumbled, "shit, someone's here". "Stiles" my dad calls, I come out and answer him, "So where's your partner in crime" he suspects. " who Scott? He's not here" I lied as we walked to the car.

Scotts POV
After stiles left me, I kept hearing something rustling in the bushes. I kept walking but a huge heard of deer came and trampled me down, knocking my Asthma puffer out of my hands and As I looked for it, I found half of the dead body. I was so scared that I fell down a hill and was even more lost. My heart was pounding as I was hearing rustling leaves and growling behind me. I looked behind me as this wolf shaped creature was coming toward me on two feet. Suddenly I felt excruciating pain in my hip. I fell to the floor and lifted my shirt, a huge bite mark had been left in my skin.

The next morning. I woke up and the bite was hurting more than ever. I walked down stairs and I was getting ready. "Scott, are you okay? You seem to be in pain" she asks, " I'm fine mum just tired" I lied because I didn't want my mum to know just yet.  As I got to school, I found Stiles getting out of Roscoe. He ran over to me " where did you go last night man" he said, "well let me think, I got left in the bush, chased and bitten by a huge animal!" I replied in a mad yet calm tone. He was so shocked when I showed him the bite. We continued with the rest of our day.

I kept thinking in my head, "Being what ever I am now is so much better than before, I met an awesome girl.". As I was in class I heard a phone ringing. As I looked around I noticed no one else was hearing it. I looked out of the window and there was a girl sitting on a park bench outside. She answered "Mum, calling on my first day is a little over doing it. Everything except a pen, oh my god I didn't actually pick up a pen, ok ok gotta go love ya". It was as if I had just gained super hearing. She walked into the school with a teacher and they entered the class room.

"Class, this is our new student, Allison Argent". I handed her a pen and she seemed confused as to how I knew she needed one.  At recess I noticed she was talking to Lydia, I could hear their conversation as well.  She had been here for less then 1 day and was already part of the 'popular' group. They invited her to a party but she told them it was family night.

Next we had lacrosse practice. This was the first time I had ever played and lest just say that when I practiced on my own I sucked. The first shot hit me right in the face and then I tried to concentrate. Catch after catch after catch, first the hearing now this. What the heck is going on!

After school I go to the woods again with stiles. As we walk I explain everything and I tell him that I can even smell the mint mohino gum in his pocket. He jokes about me becoming a werewolf and I punched him. We got to the spot where I found the body but it wasn't there, a man walked over and threw my inhaler at me. As he walked away stiles explained to me who he was " that was Derek Hale, you remember him right, his family all burned to death in a fire like 10 years ago".

I go to work (The vet clinic) later that night and I close up. I look at my bite only to see that it has completely healed.  I tried to ignore it but as I went to feed the cats, they all went psycho. I heard a knock at the door and went to check who it was. It was Alison, she ran over a dog and was panicking.

I went to bring the dog inside but she was scared so I looked at her and it was as if I had some sort of dog whispering power. I Lay the dog on the table and told Alison that it might have a broken leg. She was shivering so I gave her the spare shirt that I had in my bag. She went into the next room and as she was changing I could see her back. The dog looked at me as if it was telling me off and I replied "I didn't see anything".

After I put a bandage on its leg I talked to Allison for a while. As we were talking she had an eyelash on her cheek I tried to tell her but she could not get it so I stroked her cheek to get it off and it was as if we had a connection.  As she was leaving I asked "So um.. I was wondering, is it really family night on Friday or maybe you'd like to go to that party with me". "Family night was a total lie but definitely a yes" she replied. For the rest of the night I was super excited.
