Happy Endings and New Starts

G18 awoke in an a haze, wincing at the bright light beaming through the window. His head was pounding. He groggily opened his eyes, slowly but surely taking in his surroundings. The first thing he noticed was This isn't my room.... And the second Is that someone lying next to me?!

G18 carefully sat up as to not disturb his sleeping partner. Peeling back the duvet a little, G18 let out a sigh of relief as Speedy came into view followed shortly after by full blown panic. Holy shit! Speedy's in bed with me! He peered under the cover. He's naked! His head exclaimed before he looked down at his equally bare body. So am I! Shit!

G18 leaped out of bed, startling a dozy Speedy a he moved. His hands automatically moved to cover his 'personal bits' as he wide eyes met Speedy's. How much had they drunk? Was Speedy going to regret what had obviously happened? Question after question passed through G18's hungover mind. Just when he was about to bolt to room and lock himself in the bathroom, he was interrupted.

By Speedy laughing. And he was laughing hard.

G18 blinked, confused at Speedy's outburst. Maybe he was still drunk. His brain summed up. He watched as Speedy slowly but surely came out of his laughing fit, dramatically wiping at his eyes.

"My god G, I don't think I have ever seen you so scared." His voice was filled with mirth. "Now, how about climbing back into bed, its cold and we wouldn't want certain things shrinking now would me?" Speedy smirked,  added a wink making G18 flush deeply. 

Still cupping his, erm, manhood, G18 slid back into the comfort of the bed, Speedy throwing the duvet back over him. He once more locked eyes with Speedy, smiling shyly at him when he was greeted by a warm, loving smile that just warmed his heart. Opening up his arms, Speedy invited G18 into his embrace, which the younger man did not hesitate to accept.

"You know G, I don't regret anything." Speedy whispered, his fingers running soothingly through G18's hair. "All this was meant to happen. I love you." He finished with a kiss to G18's forehead.

G18 could feel his heart grow fonder at the words, tears prickling the corners of his eyes, which Speedy lovingly wiped away. Tilting his head up, G18 captured Speedy's lips with his own. It was a kiss full of promise, desire and most of all love. Pulling away only slightly, G18 grinned before speaking:

"I love you too Speedy, with all my heart."

When Sidearms awoke, the first thing he realizes is that he is alone. Him and Shadow had spent the remainder of their night laying in Shadow's bed, sharing stories and kisses. Both would have loved for more to have happened, but Side was both excited and frighten by the prospect which had them both agree to wait until he was ready.

But where was Shadow? Sitting up, Side rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. Thank god we quit drinking after them shots. He was quite pleased at that. Slipping out of bed, side made his way to the bathroom to relieve himself before dressing, purposely picking one of Shadow's hoodies to wear.

Side exited the bedroom, pulling at the sleeves of the hoodie nervously. What if Shadow had left? As soon as that thought was raised in his mind, his senses was assaulted by the smell of coffee and bacon, the two best breakfast smells you can think of. Following the scent, Side made his way to the kitchen part of the hotel room, smiling widely at the sight of Shadow lounged on a chair, sipping his coffee. 

Shadow looked up as Side appeared, giving the younger man the biggest smile that Side had ever seen on his face. And to think, I put that there. He thought happily to himself. He walked over to Shadow, standing in front of him. As if Shadow could sense the hesitation in Side, he pulled the other down so he was sitting in his lap.

"Good morning Albi." Shadow spoke softly, giving his boyfriend a peck on the lips which once again had Side beaming. "I ordered in breakfast, its your favorite." He gestured to the table. "Bacon with a side order of bacon!"

Side let out a giggle at Shadow's enthusiasm, rewarding him with a kiss of his own.

"It's perfect." He replied, before grabbing a rasher and taking a healthy bite. Shadow was so caring and considerate. 

"I love you Shadow." Side spoke, turning his head so he could look directly into Shadow's emerald eyes. 

"I love you too Albi" Shadow answered, not a second after. He didn't have to think before he responded. He knew he loved Side. "Forever and always."

Everyone was gathered in the lobby, chatting among themselves as Shadow and Side made their entrance, hand in hand. They were greeted by cheers, a "Congrats" from D20 and a "About fucking time" from Hova that had everyone laughing. Shadow smiled as he spotted G18 and Speedy cuddled up close on one of the lobby chairs. Well shit, I guess his plan worked for us both after all. He thought. 

Sidearm had briefly left his side to speak to Olivia, who by the looks of things had hooked up with D4, if those hickies on her neck told the story. Shadow's heart swelled with pride as he watched his new boyfriend congratulate his friend on her new relationship, smiling over at them when they turned to him. 

When Side returned, he basically leaped into Shadow's arms, causing the older man to stumble but laugh at his antics.

"So I was thinking, if you don't have anything planned, maybe you can come back with me and Olivia. Like, home?" Side bit his nail nervously. "I would really like you to meet my family. That and I don't want to leave you yet." God, he is too damn cute. Shadow grinned at Side.

Shadow leaned in, kissing the other man softly, ignoring the cheers and woops from their friends, before embracing Side close.

"I think that sounds like a perfect idea Albi." Shadow whispered into Sides ear before taking his hand in his own, interlocking their fingers. "Shall we?" Side smiled brightly, a look that could have lit up the entire world. He looked happy. 

The crew finally bid their farewells to one another, it being quite an emotional time even thought they were bound to talk in a day or two. G18 had taken Side's idea and left with Speedy. Shadow looked once more around the lobby of the hotel, the place where his greatest fantasy came true and smiled. He'd have to remember to bring Side here for their anniversary. 

With one last glance, Shadow took Side's hand in his own again and led them out the door. A door to a new beginning.

So there you have it ladies and gents, the final chapter of the story! I do hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

There is a sequel planned, only Sidebeatz for now, based around Shadow meeting Side's family. There will be laughter, feels and possibly, a little smutty goodness thrown in. ;)
