Zayn's POV
I hardly had anytime to react before she collapsed. I caught her in my arms and slung her over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
Amazing reference, I know. Or should I say... amazayn? I crack myself up.
"Mate, what happened?" Liam asked as I caught up with them.
"She passed out," I informed them.
"She did?!" Louis gasped, feigning shock. We glared at him.
"Geez, sorry. Just trying to lighten the mood," he muttered.
We ran for what felt like hours, eventually losing the monsters. The pace slowed to a walk.
Walking in silence except for our heavy breathing, the reality of what just happened sunk in. Tears formed in my eyes as I realized that my perfect life had been ruined. I was on top of the world, I had the best friends and family. Then that stupid girl had to come along with all those monsters and ruin everything. Heck, we didn't even know why the monsters were after us! And all the girl had mentioned was some camp, which didn't sound very welcoming. Maybe she was working for the monsters and leading us to them?
I suddenly felt the urge to leave the girl I was carrying in some bush and ditch. But since she was the only one here with explanations, I decided against it.
Things were getting pretty emotional in my mind, and probably all the others', when Niall destroyed the mood.
"I'm hungry," He whined, rushing up to the closest bush (which wasn't far, as they were all over) and searching for berries or whatever. He stepped deeper into the bush when he suddenly dropped out of view.
"Niall!" I shouted, which probably wasn't a good idea if monsters were around, but it was a reaction.
"Down here!" His voice was slightly muffled by the bush. "Come down, there's some sleeping bags and... HOLY SHIT! THAT'S A SWORD!"
We all slid in one at a time. Lowering the girl in before following, the first thing I saw was Niall pouting at a gash on his leg. Liam was already cleaning it up with water, and ripped of a piece of his shirt to make a bandage.
What would we do without Liam?
I heard coughing behind me and turned to see the girl's eyes fluttering open as she sat up.
"Where... where are we?" She asked, blue orbs scanning the room.
"Some underground hole Niall found by falling into," Louis piped up.
"Ah. A Half-blood hideout. Percy told us about these," she smiled, as if what she just said made perfect sense.
"Excuse me?" Liam asked, stumped as the rest of us.
"Half-bloods hide here from monsters. It's a pretty safe place to stay," she explained. That made a little more sense, but...
"Um... what's a half-blood?" I asked. Her bright blue eyes turned to me, so intense that I caught my breath.
"You are. I am. We all are half-bloods," she said. "Half human, half Greek god."
"Wait, what?" Niall shouted.
"Greek mythology is real," she said simply. Those monsters were from Greek mythology. So yeah. Wow, Chiron explains this so much better than I do," she muttered.
"Chiron?" Harry asked.
"You'll see," was all she replied.
"So, um, what's your name?" Liam asked, being the sensible one.
