Small Town Breakup

Chapter One

HADLEY'S POV
(college day of break up)

I'm at my parents farm after a long day of classes. My boyfriend Sam is with me we're going riding on our horses to our favorite field of wild flowers its our spot. It's a 15 minute ride to our spot from the stables.

"Hads?" Sam calls me from behind.

I turn and look at him. "Yes my love?"

"Do you wanna go to the football bonfire party at Austins place tonight?" he asks.

"Of course you know I like a good party. Hey you remember to grab your guitar right?"

"Yes I did baby blue." He calls me baby blue cause I have bright crystal blue eyes. I smile as we get closer to our spot. We get off the horses when we get to our spot and tie the horses to the broken down fence. I lay the blanket down while Sam gets his guitar out. We sit on the blanket and Sam smiles and kisses me and starts playing Josh Turners Why Don't We Just Dance and I sing right along with him.

After a few more songs it starts to get dark out and he pulls me in his arms and we lay on the blanket looking up at the stars that start appearing.

"Sam?" I say.

"Yeah Hads?" he replies.

"I never wanna be without you. You're my other half you make me whole. I can't stand the idea of you not being with me. You mean the world to me I'd be nothing without you Sam. I wanna get married and have kids running around. Teach em to play guitar and go camping and sing around a camp fire. I just want you until the day I die." I tell him pouring my heart out to him I do this a lot just so he knows how much I love him.

"I feel the same Hads you know that. We'll get married have a big ole house with 20 kids and have everything we ever dreamed of having. And you never have to worry about me going anywhere I'm with you always you're the one for me you're my soulmate my Bonnie to my Clyde." he says and I laugh and smile big.

"I think 20 kids is 17 too many there Sammy." I say he hates being called Sammy and I know whats gonna happen next. He turns over so he's hovering about me his knees on both sides of my waist and starts tickling me.

"What did you call me?" he says laughing.

"Sammy!!" i scream laughing.

"Take it back Hads, take it back and I'll stop."

"Okay okay!!! I take it back!" i yell laughing still. He stops and we get up and put our stuff away.

"We better start heading to Austins." Sam says.

"Yeah we probably should Sammy." i say laughing and run and get on my horse as fast as possible so he can't get me. I run my horse a little bit a head of Sam and wait for him.

"Hadley!" he catches up stopping his horse right next to mine and leans over for a kiss. We kiss for a good 30 seconds. "I love you Hadley Scott."

"I love you too Sam Hunt." I say and we ride back to the stable and then go to Sam's red pick up and drive to Austins house.

We get out of the truck and the fire is blazing and you can smell the alcohol and food being grilled.

"Well well well look who finally showed up. If it isn't everybody's favorite couple." Austin says already having a drink too many.

"Hey Austin I think it's time to cut back on the drinks." I tell him.

"Hey man." Sam says.

"I'm good doll face don't you worry your pretty little head." Austin says.

"Babe I'm gonna go up to the bathroom wanna grabs us drinks while I use the bathroom please?" I ask Sam.

"Of course baby anything for you." he says and he takes my hand and we go in the house he goes to the kitchen and I go to the bathroom. I come back out and go to the kitchen. I don't see Sam anywhere. I check the living room, he's not there either. I go outside and walk all around through everyone calling for Sam. I see my best friend Ivy Brooks.

"Hey Ivy have you seen Sam? I left him in the kitchen while I went to the bathroom and now he's no where to be found." I ask worried.

"Last time I saw him he was heading upstairs with two drinks and you... Wait that blonde wasn't you." Ivy says.

"Damn it!" I yell and run off into the house and upstairs and look in all the rooms I see a blonde on top of Sam in just her bra and underwear and Sam with no shirt on. "Sam Lowry Hunt! How could you after everything we've been through everything we said just everything?!" I yell and tears start falling my heart is now in millions of pieces.

"Hads I can explain I swear. I swear I thought she was you." He says slurring his words and pushing her off him and coming over to me.

"I don't wanna hear it don't come any closer stay away from me stay far far the hell away from me Sam I mean it. We're we're done over. I don't ever wanna see you again!" I yell and run out of the room.

"Hadley wait!" Is the last thing I hear Sam say before I'm out of the house and running to my brother Hayden's house. I bang on the door.

My brother answers the door. He can see I've been crying.
"Hadley what's wrong what happened?" Hayden asks.

"Sam he he.. Cheated." I say and collapse into my brothers arms.

"Sam? That's not like him at all Hads." my brother says bringing me in the house. "I'll get you a pillow and blanket so you can get some sleep on the couch."

"Thank you" i say and lay on the couch and cry while waiting for him.

My cell keeps going off its Sam every time. I hit the ignore button.
My brother comes back and hands me the pillow and blanket and I shortly cry myself to sleep.
