Spring Bonnie played his purple guitar along side Fredbear, who was singing into a navy blue microphone. The gold rabbit looked over at a group of children, who quickly looked over and ran off. He was feared because of his long, razor sharp teeth. The kids said he also hid in dark corners, and why wouldn't he? He was afraid to scare away customers, or worse, embarrass himself in front of the love of his life, which was Fredbear.
Fredbear was oblivious to Spring during work hours. Usually, the only time he spoke to Spring was to say good night when work hours were over, after everyone had left. Now don't get me wrong, the two had become friends almost as soon as Spring was powered on, but they had drifted apart over the years. Spring was smaller than Fredbear, and weaker. He couldn't bring himself to tell Fredbear how he felt...he just...couldn't. He was shy and afraid it would further break the already crumbling relationship the two had. Finally, the song ended and Spring could go and sit in his dark corner.
Spring looked around as the kids ran toward Fredbear. They loved him. Spring felt tears stinging in his eyes. Turning, he wiped the tears away and sighed. He walked over to his normal sitting spot, a dark corner on the stage, shrouded in shadows. He sat down and started to think. He soon was lost in thought, shutting out any other noise. As he was lost in Lala-Land, he didn't notice that the intercom came on to announce the Diner was closing. Fredbear walked over after the customers left, and sat beside his stage partner.
"Hey....you feelin' ok?" Fredbear's voice was quiet and calm. Spring snapped back to reality.
"Wha-oh...yeah....I' m fine...." Spring responded.
The two looked into each others eyes for a moment. To Spring, that short moment felt like forever. They inched closer then quickly turned away, blushing.
"H-hey...Fredbear?" Spring forced himself to speak up, his voice cracking slightly from embarrassment.
"Y-yeah...?"
"I-I need to t-tell you something....."
Fredbear sighed, "S-so do I...."
They glanced at each other. Spring replied, "I-I'll let you go first..."
Fredbear grabbed Spring's hand. "I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now...."
Spring looked at Fredbear in confusion.
Fredbear took a deep breath, "I-I..." He stopped.
Spring's heart sank. Maybe he doesn't like me....maybe it was just my imagination, Spring thought.
He was suddenly jerked forward, something pressing hard against his lips. He looked up to find Fredbear kissing him!?! Excitement ran through Spring and he returned the kiss, tears of joy forming in his eyes.
Fredbear pulled away and sighed. "I-I understand....if you don't feel the same way...." Tears formed in his eyes. He must not have noticed that Spring had returned the gesture.
Spring grinned, "Why wouldn't I feel the same way?"
Fredbear hugged Spring and tears ran down his face. "I-I love you, Spring...." His voice was shaky, but full of happiness.
"I love you too, Fredbear." Spring replied and closed his eyes. Fredbear held Spring in his arms and smiled warmly. The two sat there in silence, holding each other close.
