From the outside the ship seems to twist endlessly. It was a huge vessel. Built for the purpose of deep space exploration. Although it a only has two humans onboard. A good amount of maintaince bots are littered around. On the hull are the crudely shapened words printed in a dark red. All down the hull the letters spelled out" Valentine". A name I believe to represent the intimacy we will have with the ship for the time being. We care of her. Any problem we see we want to fix. Thisbe said it just has a good ring to it. Whatever the case is it's a good name. When I check the gauge on my suit I can see the arrow start to hastily move toward the red. Signifying my depletion of air. I float towards the doors methodicaly releasing the red button on the small stick firmly held by my hands. It was connected to a small cord leading to the jetpack on my back. Held by straps I felt none of the 10 pounds it weighed. I press a buzzer on the outside to call for a release of the doors. Anyone inside moves out of the room the doors open and I move inside. Where it becomes pressurized. I start to slowly remove the rough standard issue apparel. It's plain white or at least it was. Time has left scratches which reveal the lusterless metal underneath the paint. The suits arent technically new since its so much cheaper to reuse them. Behind me the doors shut with a loud hisss.
