****JESSES POV****
I went through the rest of my day wondering why I had to lie about something so small. Taylor wouldn't have judged me, she probably would've just asked if I was okay since I fell. When I got home, I went straight in my room and laid on my bed. Normally I would eat and play some video games with my brother, Jaiden. Speaking of him, he was walking up the stairs, probably to find me and ask me why I'm not playing with him. Sure enough, he walks in and says "Did you forget about me or what! Cmon lets go play Black Ops 2!"
I slumped around to look at Jaiden and Jaiden instantly knew something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" Jaiden asked.
"There's this girl. I really like her, but you know how I fell when I was running to the bus? I told her I was saving a dog! How stupid right?"
"Well, why would you lie?" Jaiden asked.
"I don't know! It's not even like she would've judged me if I did tell her. She's probably one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I don't know why I lied, I don't."
Jaiden walked over to my bed and awkwardly patted my shoulder. An awkward sibling pat? I don't know, it's the thought that counts.
"Well why don't you text her or something and tell her you're sorry?" Jaiden suggested. My 11 year old brother knew what to do before I did. I guess he was right, it would be the right thing to do. I pulled out my phone and started writing a message that said:
"Hey. I just wanted to say I'm sorry for lying about something so little. Since you know about me not saving a dog, and just falling on the ground, you should probably know the other time I lied to you. I'm not adventurous, I hate sports, I'm not the biggest animal lover. The truth is, all I do is play video games and watch YouTube videos on how to play video games. When I grow up I want to be a gamer. I guess I couldn't just tell you that, I thought you'd think I'm a lowlife. I'm so sorry I lied. If you ever want to even talk to me again, I'll always be 100 percent honest with you."
I re read the message about 80 times before sending it. After around 5 minutes of waiting for a text back, my phone buzzed. I grabbed it and read the text from Taylor. It said:
"I'm not mad anymore that you lied. I find that you're courageous for telling me the full truth. I would never judge you, I'm in no position to judge you! Can you please just be comfortable around me? I'm a normal person. I like you too much to even judge you in anyway possible.."
I also re read the message she sent me 80 times. Did she just admit to liking me?
