"Jesse! Wake up, it's 7am!" Jesses dad calls out once again, for the second day of school. Jesse didn't really listen mainly because he was texting Taylor all night long. They were getting quite close for only knowing each other one day. Even the things Jesse didn't lie about to her, she was still so much like him. She likes him for his true self, but he doesn't realize that.
"Jesse! It's 7:30, the bus will be here anytime soon, get UP!" Jesses dad yells. Not wanting to hear his dad's yells again, he gets up. This time, he tries to look a little nicer, tries to smell a little better. He quickly gets in the shower, washes his hair and body. Blow drying his hair into a style, swipes deodorant under his armpit, spritzed a little of his dad's cologne on, brushes his teeth, and puts on a pair of his nice skinny jean Khakis with his Ralph Lauren Polo shirt. Jesse headed out the door and seen the bus, early again. His natural instinct was to run to the bus but he stopped himself and just started walking again. "Can't ruin these jeans too"  He thought. Still the same old bus routine. Gets on the bus, sits in the one seater all the way in the back, and falls asleep. The bus arrived at the school and Jesse, still half asleep, tries his hardest to walk right without looking too sleep deprived.
"Jesse! Jesse?" He heard a female voice, but it was a voice that he loved. It sounded like music to his ears. Suddenly not tired anymore he says "Taylor! Hey," they walk together and he notices he has to turn into his freshman hallway now to put away his things. He didn't want her to know that he was only a 15 year old freshman, but he then thought to himself "She's going to know eventually, just do it" So he turned down the freshman hallway, not wanting Taylor to ask if he's really just a freshman. Jesse stops at his locker and sure enough, Taylor says "Wait, you're a freshman?" Jesse's heart and stomach just seemed to drop at the same time. "Uh.. Yeah.. I thought I told you already" Jesse said nervously. "No, I don't think so. Oh well" Taylor said. She didn't seem to mind he was a freshman. After putting all of his stuff in his locker Taylor says, "Cmon lets go to my locker" as she grabs his arm and drags him behind while she runs. They both run upstairs into the Senior hallway. "Well, I'm a senior if you couldn't tell already. Hope that doesn't change what you think of me." Taylor said. It's like she knew Jesse was nervous. She knew just what to say to make him feel better. "JESSE!" Someone shouted from down the hallway. Jesse turns around and realizes it's Jacob running up to him. "Hey dude why didn't you wait for me.." Jacob paused then looked at Jesses pants, "Did you clean your pants or get a new pair after you hugged the ground yesterday?" Jacob said while giggling. He then looks at Taylor standing next to him, "Did he tell you?" Jacob didn't know if she had really gotten the joke because she wasn't laughing. "Yeah! I was talking about how glad I was that him and the dog are alright, it was brave of Jesse" Taylor said with her bright smile on her face. "What dog? He was late for the bus so he ran and fell." Jacob told. Taylor looked over to Jesse and he was looking down, and looking embarrassed. "Why would you lie about something so small? Was it really necessary?" Taylor questioned. Jesse didn't have anything to say. He couldn't get anything out, so he just looked up and down at the floor again. "You shouldn't of had to feel like you had to lie to impress me. It just makes me wonder if you lied about anything else, text me if you want to explain anything. I gotta go to class. Bye"  Taylor was pretty mad, but she just didn't understand why he had to lie about something so small. "Why'd you have to just come up here and do that?" Jesse snapped at Jacob. "Well I didn't know you lied! It wouldn't have been a big deal if you told her the truth. She would have liked you either way, so don't blame it on me," Jacob said while  also walking away.
