I bit my lip, trying to keep myself from falling for Jared's confidence and remind myself that I don't like Jared. I like Mark. I quickly mumble 'goodbye' to Jared, and walk away before he starts to hug me. I know I'm acting like a brat, but I've pretty much given up on the fact that the closer I get to Jared, the closer I'm going to get to liking him. I give my Mom a last peck on the cheek and practically sprint to airport security, away from Jared.

My eyes squeezed open, concluding the last horrible eleven hours of movies and sleep. I sat up in alert, and next to me stood the flight attendant. She gently helped me 'put my seat in the upright position.' In two hours, everything was going to be back to normal. All my dorm sisters would tell me how their summer went, and I would tell them about mine in return. Back to normal. No Jared.
