Now that you are gone,

Yours was filled with hate,
I was never one to hold a grudge,
I held my head up in the air,
But I tend to fake nonchalance,
And it's never really there,
I felt the need to act brave,
Like I wasn't a victim of your little game,
But now I refuse to look at you,
I can't even say your name,
I'm better off without you,
I couldn't see that before,
You caused me so much pain,
And left me broken on the floor,
I'm glad that all this happened,
I learn from my mistakes,
So I took some time to think things over,
And now my heart no longer aches.
