Just like the job of companions books are, so does this book describe about the original book, "The Book Thief." If you haven't known, "The Book Thief" is a historical-fiction, so that is the reason for 2~3 chapters that included about historical events or the relationship of it within the book. Like you have read, they mostly talked about Nazi and the World War II's importance to the book.
