I rubbed my eyes and saw the sunlight peeking through my curtain blinds. First thing to check in the morning? My phone.

Luckily, it's just 9 am. I went downstairs and greeted my siblings and parents.

"Hello, people who wake up earlier than me even though it's a weekend." I greeted and opened my fridge to get milk.

"Nasan ka kahapon? DI nag paalam. Tsss." I heard my dad say. My eyes widened.

"Sorry, dad! I kinda forgot to text you guys. Maaga ako umalis eh, tulog pa kayo. I met with a uh.. friend?" I hesitated.

"And who may that be?" My mom asked.

"You guys wouldn't believe me anyway." I answered.

"Si Darren Espanto yan no? Talagang hindi maniniwala! Asa ka pa, hindi yun papatol sa panget." My older brother Clarence, or Clang for short, laughed. Wow, mana kasi ako sayo, kuya.

"Yep, si Darren nga." I smirked at them.

"Nak, sigurado ka bang nasa tamang isip ka-" I cut my dad off before he could finish his sentence.

"May pruweba ako! Nag uusap kami sa IG. May picture pa nga kami eh. Aangal pa?" I showed my IG inbox and photo gallery. Oh ngayon, nganga sila. Haaayst.

"Oh my gosh! Kayo na?" My mom asked.

"Paano kayo nagkakilala? Kelan pa kayo nag uusap?" My dad asked.

"Kelan kayo naging close?" My younger sister Pamela asked.

Wow, interview lang ang peg?

"Ganito kasi yun, isang araw, I dm'ed Darren, and I continued to do that for a week or so, until he replied to me. Tapos ayun, yinaya nya ko nung Biyernes na magkita daw kami para magkakilala. He said he loves meeting new people, and he was even wearing a disguise." I said catching my breath.

"What did you do yesterday. Kayo na no?" My mom asked again.

"What? Mom, no. And dami nyong tanong. Basta close na kami, yun na yun." I said and suddenly remembered when Darren kissed me.

"Luh, namumula ka na pala ngayon?" My brother asked.
"Me? Namumula? Asa ka." I said and went back upstairs.

I grabbed my phone and opened Darren's reply.

darrenespanto1: oh you're awake na? Nag breakfast ka na ba? Happy hearts day din ;)
