"Okay class, have a good summer and stay safe!" And there it is, the school bell, ringing over the screaming excited kids, me included. The last day  of school is over and my am i glad! Greenhigh is not like other schools, it is far worst. Many people will say there is no point attending school on the last day because all you do is watch films and mess about. That is what you would expect to do, however, my school likes to think that every lesson counts towards our future. Every single year, on the last day, we have a 2 hour exam in the morning, to see what we can remember from the entire year. Then we have an hour assembly about staying safe over the summer. Let me tell you, hearing the same speech every year and having Mr.Cole tell the same joke is enough to drive you to insanity. Me and some other students in my year just put our headphones in, hiding them whenever we see a teacher scanning us. I mean seriously, what is the point in a 'stay safe' assembly! What do they think we're going to do? There is nothing to do around here anywhere. It's all field and open space and i don't expect to be in any danger on a enormous, wide open field.

I live in a small village in the countryside. It's ok i guess, i'm the type of person who likes peaceful atmospheres. Nothing too complicated although i am willing to gice things a go. i'm a big fan of the outdoors. I like to walk around and i always go to this spot on the top of a hill where i can read or draw. It's so relaxing to look out over the village and see the hills in the distance. Whenever I'm up there I always try to see how far my i can reach and wonder how long it would take to get to that place.

If I'm not up on the fields, I'm usually with Fidget. She's the family dog. My uncle owns a farm so I'm training Fidget to become a sheep dog along with the other border collies my uncle has. The clue is in her name, she really is a fidget but I love her to pieces. I picked her out from the kennels a few months ago when she was a small little pup. She's just turned one now and really getting the hand of training now.                                                                                                                                                        When i was younger, i used to watch my uncle train the dogs. I found it fascinating how many different commands they were. All you have to do is whistle and gesture and they're off! It is much harder then it looks though.

I say goodbye to my friends and head out the school gate. I think the worst thing about the holidays is not being able to see your friends. I would meet up with them, but they're all going on holiday. I've never been abroad, never really left the village besides when i was three and we went down to London for a week. I would like to but ever since my mum walked out on me and my dad when i was ten, money has been a bit tight. My dad goes to work on the farm with my uncle and my older aunt works in the local supermarket. I try and get a bit of work here and there, but It's never permanent.

I started walking towards the fields, which is my usual way home, when suddenly, a cold shill hovered over me, quite unusual considering it was one of the hottest days of the year. It made me stop for a second but i thought nothing of it and continued along the rocky white path. I took out some paper from my bag to draw on. There was this dip along the edhe of the hill that you could sit in and see a great view of the river that i wanted to draw.                                                                       There was a warm breeze that whispered through the air as i got to the hill, surrounded by patches of long green grass. I came to the dip, sat down and started to sketch.

Twenty minutes later, i was near enough finished. I got up and started to head home when another breeze split the still air, a littl colder than before. Before i knew it, my drawing was flung from my hand and was brushing along the grass into the patch. I went after it, stumbling across the field and i saw it stuck in a little rabbit hold. I grabbed it quickly, before it blew away again. I slipped it into my bag and was about to go home, when suddenly i heard a strange noise. I thought i was hearing things and ignored it. A few steps later, i heard it again. It started to get colder even though the sun was still shining above me. Once again, i heard this low mumble. Then again and twice more after that. I realised i wasn't alone. I began searching for this mystery sound but I couldn't see anything at all. Nothing. There it was again but there was something unusual. It made me shiver and i turned around once more.

What is it? Who is it? Why is it here? What is it doing? Questions swirled around in my mind. I needed to get closer. Slowly, i tiptoed forward, one step, then two, then... Oh no.
