I ran. I ran until there was no air left in my lungs. I came to a stop and looked around. I was in the middle of a forest. A thick dense forest. And it was in the middle of the night. I didn't even realise where I was running to until now. I could hear my own heart beating against my chest. I should probably find a place to rest, preferably where it's comfortable. Oh god, I totally forgot. There was supplies at the fire area. Ugh why, why, why did it have to blow up. Really the luck I have tonight. Firstly I wake up out of now where, in the middle of nowhere, then a fire and explosions are going on. I run completely forgetting that I have nothing. Good job Emeline, good job.

I saw a warehouse up ahead. It looked rundown and abandoned. Good no one will be there. As I treaded up the hill which it was on I realized that there was no grass. The ground at the bottom had grass but not here....hmm strange. I got to the door. I wanted to check if it was locked so I tried to make it budge. It didn't but I noticed that the rusty old lock holding the two doors together.

I tried to kick it. See if it would budge at all. It rattles as my foot hit the front of it. With a few more kicks it seems to fall as it collapses to the ground. I heaved the door open as much as I could. It made screeching noises as the rust doors moved. As I stepped in I realised how deserted this place was. The only sound you could hear is the sounds of trees around me rustling and the bats hanging from the ceiling screeching as the moonlight slips in through the doorway. I try to look around as best as I could. Since there was only moonlight through the cracks in the roof and the doorway it was almost pitch black. And tripping over things had become an obstacle while trying to find anything useful to me. I was looking for anything I could eat, sleep on, weapons. Anything that could be useful.

The only things I could find were what felt like machine gears and equipment. Then those massive metal things must be the machines. Ah this must be a factory. But what kind of factory. I hope this factory made anything edible or useful. I guess I would have to keep searching. I came across a light object that felt familiar to me. I kept feeling it to see if it was anything good. I felt a switch. I flicked the switch on and a massive bright beam of light burst out of the object. A torch, thank god. I will be needing this. I'm still surprised it works though. Which means this place couldn't have been abandoned for that long. I flung the torch around me in hopes this new light could scavenger me anything good. I looked up at the shelves and on the machines. It had canned goods, clothes and equipment for cooking, cleaning and random pieces to parts. I kept flicking the torch around to look for anything else.

I came a cross a logo. The logo name was unrecognisable but the small print under it was readable. 'Saving you, is saving the world!'. Sounds like a charity or donation raiser. Which makes sense. The canned goods, clothes and various types of equipment for the people they're supporting. But the second part is a bit of a mystery. Oh well, I scored good. I hope the food is still ok to eat. I took various cans and had a look at them. They were expired ten years ago. Crap.

I found a bench like area in the middle of the factory and put a few handfuls of cans, with some clothes I had chucked there, after I got the dust, cobwebs and bugs out of them. I had managed to scavenger some useful things like a spoon. And some sort of bottle or canister. Through searching I found a backpack. I had put all these things in there. I was exhausted, and stumbling over my feet.

I grabbed a few soft materials and chucked them on a softer spot on the floor. I kept my torch and back pack near me where I lay. I looked at the sky through the cracks in the roof. I thought about everything. What happened in the previous hours. I remember a boys face that belonged to the name Elias. I don't remember what he was to me. A friend, a brother, a lover or family member. I don't remember what happened before I had woken up. I tried so hard to remember. I saw quick, hazy images of people and a room with a blue glow to it. But I don't remember anything else.

I was tired. I was confused. And I didn't want to think anymore. So I closed my eyes. And when the darkness of sleep came, I didn't object.
