My arms flawed in front of me to stop the fall. But I was doomed. Before I knew it my face was plunged into the liquid. I closed my eyes and expected to feel pain. But nothing came. I whipped my head out of the water and used my hands to wipe the liquid of my face. I was stunned at the least. I remember back to the plank of wood when I pulled it from the liquid. I wince and cringe my face up. I thought that would happen to me. My face would become completely destroyed.

Questions and solutions pop up in my head. Maybe your face didn't touch the liquid for long enough. Maybe it doesn't work on human skin. Living things may not be hurt when having physical contact with it. I wanted to test one of these theories. The latter was probably the most safest. I trek around again quickly scanning anything I could find to test my theories on.

I head back to the pool with a small dead bird I found on the ground, a small branch and a tin can. I slowly lower the tin can in. Enough of it is still visible so I can hold it. I put it in there for a solid few seconds. I pull it out and the tin is absolutely destroyed. Once again I place the branch in for the same time and pull it out. The same as the can, it was destroyed. The dead bird was my last hope. I placed it in again. I was anxious with the results. I looked away as I pulled it out. The bird was destroyed. Frustrated with wasting my time I shoved my hand into the pool.

It was in there for a good five minutes. I hadn't felt any pain. When I pulled my hand out in was fine. I couldn't blame it on being human skin as our skin was pretty much the same as the dead bird. This liquid completely puzzled me. I was intrigued. It was also quite useful.

I wanted to look around for something. I ended up finding a titanium, airtight cylindrical container. I took the lid off and put the top of the bottle into the pool. I wanted to see if it would melt titanium. The bottle wasn't harmed. Which in my case worked out great. I pushed the bottle down into the liquid and watched the bubbles come up as it filled to the brim. I decided I would need this. And it would be good to have some on me.

And with that, I made my way back up into the hill on the opposite side of the forest. I looked down into the crater and to the dense forest which I had come from only a mere two hours ago. I looked forwards again. And then never looked back as I made my way across the plain.
