Chapter 14

Natalie gets down on the ground as the men around starts to fire, she rolls before grabbing one of the men's legs kicking him hard enough for him to fall down and she takes hold of his gun before shooting him.

Gabriel pulls Amelia out of the room while his men cover him; his only focus was saving his wife and taking her as far away from the harm's way as possible.

Natalie punches the next man making him fall down before she jumps a top of the next man and knees him.

Rolfe watches in awe as the girl flies from hitting one man to another without running a sweat, he is so engrossed in it that he does not see Mac pointing his gun towards him.

Luckily, Natalie turns just in time to see the man point his gun so she shouts his name to warn him, the bullet grazes Rolfe's arms making him fall down with pain.

Natalie starts to shoot at Mac before she rushes to Rolfe's side, Mac crawls around the room before he gets under his desk and waits for his moment to run off.

He pulls the lever under his desk for the secret passage before making his way out but to his horror he finds a few of Gabriel's men waiting for him.

"Rolfe, Rolfe, are you okay?" Natalie shouts shaking his arms and the man groans in pain.

"My arm"

"Where, where?" she asks as she moves his arms around making him curse her.

"The one you are holding," he snaps and she at once lets go of his hand before she sheepishly smiles his way.

"Sorry, come on we need to get out" Natalie states as she tries to help him up.

"Where is Mac?" he asks looking around to find most of his men dead or unconscious while Gabriel's men clear the area for them.

"He ran but that's not important," she grumbles as she walks out of the room along with him.

Arson helps Rolfe at once as soon as he sees them walking out, all of this happens at once as they are pushed towards the car and driven to the hospital.

All the while Natalie stays by his side and no one questions it. After a few hours everything slows down, good thing the bullet did not do any damage to Rolfe and he was good to go.

Gabriel took Mac away and no one knows what happened to the man, eve if Rolfe knows he does not say anything to Natalie about it.

"I am driving" Natalie announces as she takes the keys away from one of the men that was on guard for Rolfe and Rolfe says nothing as he gets in the passenger seat.

"Where did you learn to fight?" he asks once she starts to drive.

"High school"

"Who are you?" he asks as he turns to face him.

"Wonder woman" she wiggles her brow teasingly.

Rolfe chuckles before he grabs her jaw and shakes her head making her push his hand away.

"What?" she asks as he keeps holding her jaw tightly distracting her but he just smiles.

Once they reach his house, they both walk out of the car leaving the car in the driveway. Natalie sighs as she gets inside and smiles widely.

"Is your arm paining?" she asks him when he shakes his head she jumps on him kissing him.

Rolfe chuckles as he wraps his arms around her waist walking towards their room without breaking their kiss.

They end up in the bed with her a top of him kissing, neither of them know how long they were kissing but when they break off they cannot help but start kissing once again.
