Boat training was on the schedule today. First, we were doing a practice, then the real thing on camera. And since we were doing it all in one day, I was currently standing on the bank of a river called, The Angle, freezing my ass off, at four thirty in the morning.
Let's just say I'm not a happy camper right now.
I shivered next to Orlando and Viggo in wetsuits. I wasn't even in the water yet but it was a crisp morning with frost covering the grass. Apparently the guys found it funny that my teeth were chattering. So I did whatever normal person would do, I threw a rock at Orlando. Don't judge me, he deserved it.
"Okay, start by climbing in the boats guys." Our instructor, Sue, told us. I did what I was told with Orlando following me. I staggered in, almost falling, and grabbed both sides. I gripped the edges as he came in behind me. Sue handed Orlando paddles. Bella just got to lie around and sleep while Legolas paddled the entire time.
Score one for me.
I leaned back and folded my arms and closed my eyes with a satisfied smirk evident on my face.
"Start paddling elf boy." I said. He grumbled under his breath. I heard everyone else get into there boats and drift off.
I opened my eyes as Orlando started to struggle with the paddle. I chuckled and sat up.
"Here." I took one of the paddles and got into the rhythm of paddling.
"You aren't suppose to be padding though." He raised an eyebrow. I shrugged.
"I got bored and you obviously need some help." I smirked. He faked a pained face.
"I was doing just fine for your information!" I laughed.
I veered to the right to see Viggo, Sean and Elijah fake arguing about who needed to paddle first. Elijah splashed water on Sean who splashed some on Vig and so on. It all became one big wet mess.
I smirked to myself as we gained speed and got in front of everyone. Sean and John were farthest away from everybody.
Sue came paddling up and smiling when she saw everyone.
"Okay, good everyone. Hey John, why don't you get into the boat with Amaya and Orlando in the next run?"
"That's alright with me." He answered.
We all just continued to drift along the river as the sun slowly made it's way over the horizon. It had been two days since my mini meltdown and I'm glad that Orlando didn't bring it up at all.
Finally, at about seven o'clock we were aloud to get some food. I made my way to my trailer with food on my mind.
I opened the refrigerator door and I smiled. I went grocery shopping the day before and boy am I happy.
The cabinets held one of my favorite dinners in this entire would; Kraft macaroni and cheese.
Orlando opened the door and bounded in. He took a seat on the sofa and put his feet up on the coffee table. He picked up a magazine and started to read it.
"What's cookin?" He asked.
"Well I'm making myself some Mac and cheese. I don't know what your doing." I smirked. He lowered his eyes at me and grinned evilly.
He did the thing he knew I couldn't resist. The puppy-dog eyes.
I tried to look anywhere but there but his perfect little brown eyes stared at me. I threw my hands up in defeat.
"Okay! I'll make you some!"
"Carry on now." He said casually.
"Why am I friends with you?" I grumbled. He grinned and went bak to reading my girly magazine.

The day wasn't over yet. We actually had film for real now. Before was just a practice run. We have to have our heavy costumes on while paddling a boat.Orlando, Viggo and I were on the makeup trailer getting everything ready. Tracey was curling my hair like usual when she stopped.
"Hey Amaya, not to alarm you or anything but I, um, just found a grey hair."
She held a silver strand in between her two fingers. That is my first grey hair. I gently took the stand and looked at at. I let out a groan that sounded like a dying elephant mixed with a duck.
"I'm getting SO old." I started to fake cry as Tracey sighed and continued with my hair.
We were back at the river with our outfits and armor on.
Orlando and John got into the boat with me last. The boat seemed to sink at the spot where John was sitting.
We grabbed the paddles and the boys started to paddle away. I laid in Orlando's lap because that's what Peter instructed me to do.
After awhile I could feel the rapids start to pick up. It was getting bumpy and hard for me to lay down. Pete called cut so we could get things straightened out.
But the rapids kept getting worse and worse. Water started to spill in and we got tossed around. John's side of the boat kept tipping and before any of us knew what was happening, the boat capsized.
I was the last to go in. The water felt icy against my skin and I tried to swallow a breath of air but instead swallowed a gulp of water. I tried to push my head up into the surface but something was blocking my way. My hands went up and touched the boat. It turned over and was on top of me. I tried to swim under it but I couldn't see. The water was too dark and dirty. The water felt like it was getting colder. My mind was getting foggy and I felt like dridting off to sleep.
I was ripped out of darkness as the sun hit my body. The boat was lifter out of the water by Viggo and Sean. Viggo had picked me up and slung me over his one shoulder. I coughed and and tried to suck in as much air as possible. My eyes were still adjusting so I couldn't see yet. I did hear someone calling my name.
"Amaya, can you hear me?" The voice of Peter was in front of me. He was snapping his fingers to try and get me to come through. I nodded my head so he knew I could hear him.
"Someone get her a blanket!" He yelled. I looked around for Orlando and John and saw them trying to get to me. They both had blankets around them and didn't look as cold. I, however, was shaking violently. A blanket was placed on me and I gratefully took.
"Amaya are you okay?" Peter asked.
"Y-yeah I-I think I'm okay." I said.
"Alright, can someone take her back to her trailer? And Amaya, you can rest for a couple days if needed." He said. I shook my head.
"No I'll be okay for tomorrow. I promise." I gave him a shaky smile.
Orlando lead me back to me trailer. I went to the batheroom and put on some long fuzzy pants and a long sleeve shirt. I went back out and Orlando had a mug in his hands. He lead me to my bed and handed me the mug. Hot chocolate.
"Thanks Orli." I smiled.
"No problem." He made his way to the door.
"Wait, Orlando can you stay until I fall asleep?" I asked a little awkward. He grinned.
"Sure." He laid out on the couch and after a short while, we were both asleep.
