A/N: So yeah this is a Percy Jackson fanfiction. I wrote it a while ago but decided to post it on here. Hope you guys like it! :)

Chapter 1~ Camilla

‘Camilla, join us. Join us now, your talents will be deeply appreciated and put to use. Don’t listen to them, don’t. Come with us.’

‘No! I will not!’ I state proudly.

‘You give me no choice.’ The voice continues. Out of nowhere the blackness from which I was staring into bursts with a very uncomfortable light, until it sends me back off of my feet.

I felt crippled as I lay on the stone ground, feeling like I couldn’t get up even if I tried.

A figure rose out of the darkness, as if taking the shadows and forming a human being- but I knew in an instant this wasn’t human.

It stood over me, with a big glowing orb of a sickly green color in its palm-if it had one.

‘The very energy you possess will now be turned against you. Say goodbye, Camilla; this is your life-source.’ The figure says, the orb in its hand morphing from a green orb into a sun with a lightning bolt glowing orange and cream.

As the lights shone, it felt as if all the energy I had inside of me was being whipped away, my life disappearing.

I almost blacked out- when the bronze swept in. It slashed the dark figure off of its feet, forming a tidal wave onto it.

‘Nice try, but she’s with me.’ My hero says. His voice was mature but alluring.

The sun and lightning bolt shattered and I immediately had my strength back. As my rescuer helped me up, I looked at wherever he was.

          ‘Thank you.’ I say meekly.

‘No problem, Cam. Anything for you.’ He says.

The only thing I saw then, were his piercing sea-green eyes; they looked wild and dangerous but had a tint of love and care, which I knew were for me.

          Then the whack came.

~*****~

I woke up, startled, and breathing heavily as I looked to face the whacker.

          “Good morning!” they say.

I turn my head sideways and face Aubrey, AKA my only friend. At first, I panicked on wondering why she was there and then I remembered she was sleeping over.

“Aub, I’ve told you several times: Don’t. Wake. Me. Up!” I say.

“Well you looked like you were about to have a heart attack. What would I have done if you did? Stand by and laugh? I don’t think so. What did you even dream about?” Aubrey responds.

I think back to the lucid green eyes, gazing into mine.

          “Nothing too unusual,” I answer.

“Right; so basically like all of your other dreams? Something you could basically feel and control?” Aubrey guesses.

          I nod.
