"Why the hell did you do that?? You could've got into big trouble!!" she half-whispered, half-yelled, behind my mom's apron adorned back.
"He made you cry" I said coolly, biting into a chocolate cookie and suddenly dropped my tone to a serious one " and no one is gonna make you cry when I'm around" I said looking straight at her.
The seriousness made her drop her gaze and I continued my attack on the cookies. After a short pause she looked up again and took a cookie.
"Thanks" she mumbled, taking bites out of the cookie."You really care a lot about....." Right then, my mom walked in with another batch of cookies.
"Mom, Anna and me would like to go to the park for a while, you know, play around a little, you mind??" I asked Mom casually, wanting a more private place to talk.
"Sure honey" she said ruffling my hair."Just take care"
"Thanks Mom, well be back in a bit" I said, pushing off the chair and taking Anna's hand. "C'mon Anna, let's go" We walked out the door, pulling our jackets on.
As we reached the park and sat down on one of the isolated benches, I said "OK Anna, let's get this straight. I know that I won't be able to be with you all the time but if anyone hurts you or, by their ill fate, make you cry, they are most likely to end up on the floor bleeding and there's nothing you can do about it."
"You're crazy, Bill, I'll make sure not to take you along the next time I go to a doctor" she said smiling. "But thanks for being so concerned about me, it really matters a lot" she said, her blue eyes delving into my green ones.
"Don't mention it, you mean a lot to me too" I said, stretching my arms along the headboard of the bench.
She snuggled into me, making my heart throb faster.
"I love you, Bill" she whispered.
I sat there, frozen in shock.
"Oh, what do we have here?? Buzz you told me these guys were love birds but this is too much"
I whipped my head up to look at the person. He was taller than me, had a defined body, and had a strange resemblance to Buzz.
"Hahaha" Buzz chuckled from his side, still bruised from our last encounter.
"What do you want, Buzz" I asked ignoring the big guy and my fear for him. "You wanna get beat up again?"
"Oh, I'm here to make sure that doesn't happen again" said the big guy, suddenly grabbing me by the collar closer to him. "If you lay another finger on my little brother, kid, I'll make sure you go to your grave faster than you can say 'ouch'"
He whispered threateningly."I wouldn't" I said staring into his eyes. "If he wasn't such a prick"
"Oh you didn't" he said raising his fist. He punched me as Anna screamed "no!!"
It hurt. A lot. He got me on my left eye good and I fell on the ground with a thud. I put all I had into trying not to cry.
Anna screamed behind me. "You're his bitch aren't you?? You can take this!!!" He yelled followed by a sharp thwack and Anna's quick sobs.
I let out a guttural roar and pushed up. I came up with fists punching. First the guy was caught off guard so I managed to punch his jaw. But he soon got over it and walked started towards me saying, "you want it??come and get it"
He came right up to me and hooked me on my left gut. I couldn't see it coming as my left eye was bruised shut. I doubled over in pain and he kept getting me on the left.
Finally, he made a slip, he punched me with a tired arm. I pulled the arm towards me, bringing my right elbow up. Smack!! I got him right in his face.
He stumbled back, withering from the pain. I went in closer, getting inside him. The thing about big people is that they're great at a medium distance. But as soon as you get in close, they can't use their strength or size. All that works is speed.
I kept punching him left, right, left, right. Finally, I gave him an uppercut on his already damaged jaw.
That landed him good. He stumbled and fell down. I spat out the blood in my mouth and walked over to the place where Anna sat frozen.
"Anna" I called, staring at her blank face.
She looked up and said " you were right, Bill" she said running into my arms.
She hugged me on my cracked ribs and it hurt like hell but I didn't care. She was with me, as I wanted and that was all that mattered.
Yay!! Got time to update this!! I know it's not that good but it's my brother's favorite so I had to update. So this one's dedicated to him. Thanx for reading and toodles!!
