Your P.O.V
Bobbing your head to the beat, you sipped the beverage from the glass and leaned back. In front of you family members and fellow friends danced around laughing. Your cousin, the bride, sat at her table giggling at her new husband. As you put the glass down a beat to a new song started playing. You instantly recognised it and cheered. Within a few seconds, Jacob was standing in front of you pulling you up by both hands. You laughed and made your way onto the dance floor as John Legend’s – Tonight blared through the speakers.
“Aint this what you came for?” you both sung as Jacob pulled you to him by your waist from behind. “Baby tonight’s the night, I let you know” he sung spinning you and swaying you from side to side. You giggled and turned, placing your arms around his neck as his arms slithered around your waist. “I’ll be the best you ever had” he sung doing a slight body roll against you. You slightly blushed, shaking your head before mimicking him. He raised his eyebrow and smirked before grabbing you back into his embrace, and swaying you once again.
The music died down as the bride and groom appeared by the DJ. She had a bouquet of roses in her hand. “Alright ladies, it’s that time,” she spoke into the mic. “All of youstand behind me and lets see who catches it” ;). The traditional game, whoever catches the bouquet would be the ‘next to marry’. You took your spot near the centre of the group. Jacob stood behind you, his hands gripping your waist and his chin resting on your shoulder.
“3…2…1”
You jumped up to catch it but missed, laughing at how close you were. You turned to see who ‘fate’ had chosen, and there stood Jacob, clutching the roses in his left hand. “Errr…babe…a girl’s suppose to catch it” you mentioned, furrowing your eyebrows. He bit his lip, shrugged and grinned that familiar, cheeky grin. You shook your head as everyone cheered anyway.
“Looks like we’re gonna get married mami ;)” he winked at you, laughing as he pulled you in for a kiss and lightly squeezing your ass. You slapped his hands away, chuckling, as girls gave you jealous looks.
