Yukiko's POV
Yukiko: Thank you anyway.
I bowed to the old man by the river as he said he hasn't seen Narukami ether. Nanako and I soon went back to the sidewalk.
Yukiko: Let's try up the river Nanako.
Nanako: Ok!
I took Nanako's hand as we made our way up the river. Unfortunately as we asked around. All of them hadn't seen him. And i could tell Nanako was losing hope every person we ask if they had seen him. We ended up taking a rest by the river.
Nanako: Big bro...
Yukiko: Hey we'll find him don't worry.
Nanako: But what if we don't?
Yukiko: We will Nanako.
Poor Nanako... Yu had just came back to visit us. And for some reason he's gone missing. What could have caused this... I'm sure that he wouldn't go somewhere without letting any of us know.
Nanako: You really think so?
Yukiko: Of course. Your Big bro wouldn't worry you like this. I know he'll be back. As a matter of fact want to hear a story on why i know?
Nanako: A story?... um ok.
Yukiko: It all started when...
When Narukami came to Inaba. I had no idea on what impact he would have with my life. I was raised with the burden of being next in line to manage my family's inn. I had always thought that even with my grades being top of the class. That i would do more then just manage an inn. But no matter what i believed i always felt like i could never truly be free from that burden. When i was kidnapped and had to face my own shadow i felt weak. I refused to believe that i wanted someone take me away from troubles so that i can be free. But i really wanted that. No matter how much i wanted to deny it i knew i could never be truly free. After i had accepted who i was. I had gotten determined to not be the manager of the inn. I would think that Yu would just agree with my parents but he instead supported me with my decision. I was grateful for him cheering me on with this. He would always try out the food i made for him and even though he didn't know what was in store. He kept on being there for me. But it's when those men from the news station arrived. That tip the balance in what i believed. Hearing how their ideas that if my family's inn were some shady red light district motel just to bring in customers would actually help both of us. It was then where i know i wouldn't that happen. Period.
Nanako: You don't like change Yukiko-san?
Yukiko: It's not change that i don't like. It's just i don't like the forceful ideas people try to plant into people to change them into what they want them to be.
Of course i didn't tell Nanako the full story. Only a more "she would understand and child friendly" version of it. She was of still to young to learn about that news man's ideas.
Nanako: Like when it gets cold outside even though i want it to be warm?
Yukiko: Well something like that.
