Yesterday I was met with an onslaught of abuse because of who I am, I reckoned within those brief few moments that I was going to have an absolutely horrible day. I thought my ridicule would continue on forever but then she saved me, she saved me from them. I tried to say thanks to her at the time but as quickly as she came she was gone...

I've spent most of today looking around Safe Place 42 for her to say thanks, but it was a fruitless cause. I couldn't find her wherever I looked. I guess that is one mystery that will have to forever remain unsolved, it is like she vanished into thin air.

Speaking of mysteries I found myself earlier today reading a detective novel, I don't usually read this genre because I am far too busy being a big sci-fi nerd(though my taste for the genre tends towards dystopia and utopia novels rather than to ones set in outer space with aliens and starships), I actually quite enjoyed 'A Scandal in Bohemia' by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I found the psychological warfare between the two main characters (Irene Adler and Sherlock Holmes) quite relatable, though Adler and Holmes would have to be replaced with my father and general populace.

My father rose to power from nothing against the odds and now even the greatest of minds can't even sparsely comprehend his plans. I am ever so sorry for wasting time with pointless imagery, I think I'll just stop now.

In other news I found something particularly peculiar today, hence why today's log of the inevitable downfall of humanity(oh the joy) is going to take a long time to write out. Meg and I, being stereotypically disenchanted youth, decided to get very excited by the fact that a food supply was coming in because we got bored of watching parodies and ironically produced videos on the internet.

So we stealthily followed, well except for me falling down a flight of stairs and walking into a glass door, the soldiers based at 42 as they headed upwards towards the exit, up to surface.A large steel crate stood still in all of its majesty just outside the reinforced hatch that led upwards out of here. I glanced to the sudden glare of light that came seeping through into the hopeless darkness that now accommodated us daily.

'Order 42' it said on the side of it.

"Order 42, Andy is there that many people down here?" Meg whispered to me, her chocolate eyes asked with curiosity.

"It's shorthand, it stands for 'The Order, Base 42.'" I told her, having studied The Orders history for the vast part of my childhood in an attempt to get in contact with my ever loving father. It is a long and tedious affair, but in short they were set up after the end of World War 3 to 'fix' the world.

"Hmm, okay. Can you see what is going on up on the surface?"

"No, I can't. The massive cargo load sitting there like a duck is obscuring my view, I want to know what's happening!"

Then suddenly the sound of shots firing was heard, my eyes went wide as they filled with terror. The soldiers scuttled back inside the base, picked up their assault rifles and went running back out into the unknown with a new look of boldness. Rapid gunfire between them and whomever their opposition filled the late afternoon sky. The pained noise of the dying men's screams echoed distinctly into the tunnel Meg and I were hiding in. Meg shivered, I felt sickened.

From the bloodied carnage cried one voice,"I know the truth, I know what is going on and I will fight for all of those unknowing kids you've got inside there. They will know what is going on and I will rescue them before you can do to them what you did to ALL of my friends. I'll be back, I promise!", surprisingly it sounded like that of a relatively young male. I was beyond confused.

We didn't know what to do, so we just went.

I found her, I finally found her. I found the girl who punched the bullies. I was exploring the vincinity, looking for Meg because she'd dropped one of her books and I just walked headfirst into my lifesaver.

"I am so sorry I didn't see...are you the girl who punched that jerk in the face?" I stuttered in realisation, why do I have to be so awkward?

"Yes, I'm sorry about them. They got exactly what they deserved, saying things like that. I'm Roxie." She stated in a clear cut manner.

Roxie looked at me with her green eyes and continued,"If they ever give you any trouble just tell me and I'll...well, y'know what happens next. Anyway, what's your name?"

"Err, it's Andrew but you can call me Andy. Why did you help me?" I really wanted to why she just popped out of nowhere and saved me of all people.

"Well Andy, I just saw a boy who was picked upon for being different and I did what I thought was best at the time. Actually, I think giving him a nosebleed was a bit too harsh of me. It's what happens in the heat of the moment."

"I...just want to thank you for everything. I really appreciate it." I said, in earnest.

"Any time Andy, any time." She said turning, her red ponytail flicked onto my face,"See you around." She strode swiftly into the darkness.

"Bye." I waved at her.

Someone talked to me of their own free will, this never happens to me! I have had THE BEST day ever!

I'm just trying not to think about yesterday, it's been playing on my mind, I wondered why those events occurred? Who was that man, what was he doing? At least Roxie distracted me from my traumatic thoughts...
