It was raining outside. I was sitting on my bed watching the second season of my all-time favorite TV-show, Dexter. I lost count how many times have I watched it over and over again but one thing was for sure – I was not going to stop doing it anytime soon.
“Tonight’s the night” I hear Dexter’s deep, calm voice and I’m guessing that he’s gonna kill his next victim soon. And by “guessing” I mean totally knowing because I’ve seen it for like 500 times.
I can see Dexter injecting Etorphine in his victim’s neck and guy blacks out. He wakes up on the cold table with tapes on all over his body and head so he can’t move. Dexter cuts his cheekbone and takes a sample of his blood, pours it on the medical glass and keeps it in his box of trophies. Afterwards they talk and finally Dexter takes a knife and kills the guy.
I close my laptop since it’s already 01:25 am and I’m really tired and put it aside. I jump in my bed and get ready to sleep. I close my eyes and drift away with my sweet summer dreams. I dream of me and my friends in pool with cold drinks and loud music. We are laughing, we are having fun, and we’re living our life. But suddenly I’m awakened by the sound of door cracking. I usually sleep very tight but tonight I still woke up.
I admit I’m a bit scared but I’m sure it’s just me being paranoid because of Dexter. I mean hello! I’ve been watching TV-show about a serial killer and it’s midnight and I’m alone in the room.
It’s okay Liz, just calm down your nerves are taking over. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out. See? Everything’s perfect. As soon as I calm down and close my eyes someone grabs me. He puts his hand on my mouth so I don’t make any noise and he whispers:
-Shhhh. If you don’t make any noise and do whatever I say, you get to stay alive.
Ohgod! What’s happening! What is going on!! Someone please help me! Who is he? He doesn’t look too old but who the fuck cares? I’m being fucking kidnapped! What the actual fuck?
