This is for bookwormbrat. Sorry that I didn't make it sooner!

The icy rain pattered rhythmically and ponderously onto the grounds surrounding Hogwarts, as if to wash away all the blood away from nightmarish event that had only taken place a few lone days ago. Neville and I (Rain) were sitting together under a broad canopy of unluminating and shadowy leaves. We listened to the thunderous rain that was like a lion attacking an innocent gisele, cuddling close together and thankful for the secure, kind of cozy shelter. We’d been in this haven since the deplorable battle of Hogwarts. No matter what the Hogwarts individuals had cried and cheered about, the event that Harry had defeated Voldemort for good did not cancel out the slaughter and massacre that had happened during the fight.

Neville gently kissed me, his brown hair tickling my face and his buckteeth safe inside his gorgeous mouth for once. I kissed him back, savoring the feeling of passion between us and held on to him tightly, as if doing so he would never disappear from my grasp. Our smooch seemed to last for decades, our lips moving in perfect sync with each other and not stopping for a precious breath of air. Finally, even if it was a bit resistantly, our bouches left each others, and I gulped in a cool breath of oxygen that I thought I hadn’t needed for the past few minutes.

“Neville!” I gasped after I had obtained the air,” I see something over there!” There was a glowing golden orb followed by a dark shape coming straight towards up, lumbering and pulling a black dog that kept trying to run away from its owners sides. At first I had thought it was a death eater, but when I got a better look, it was only...

“HAGRID!” Neville and I called in unison and rushed over to hug our tall and beefy friend. I hadn’t seen HAgrid since he was last tortured by the dark lord and his evil minions!

“Why ‘ello and ‘ello you little deserted lovebirds,” Hagrid chuckled in a deep, low voice,” What’cha doing out ‘ere? Where’s your parents? Why aren’t both of you youngsters at ‘ome, joining one of them parties at the burrow or in ‘ogsmeade?”

I almost started tearing up as explained to Hagrid that my parents had disappeared before the battle and Neville was giving me moral support.

Hagrid looked at me sympathetically after I explained everything.” Oh you poor Rain!” He exclaimed sadly and brushed tears out of his eyes,” You’re lucky to be out ‘ere with your valiant and thoughtful mate, Neville.”

I appreciatively smiled a little and gently took Neville’s hand. “Well, Hagrid, thank you for finding us, but do you happen to know of a place where me and Neville could rest a bit and stay at for a few nights until we get a more efficient place to inhabit?”

Hagrid thought for a few minutes, the quietness being loud.

Finally, Hagrid brightened up and nodded excitedly.” I know! There’s a place at ‘ogsmeade where Aberforth helped Harry and the crew. I don’t remember what it’s called, but you’ll find it. The place is rundown, dark...”

Neville nodded and started walking me towards the exit of the Forbidden Forest.”Yes! I know exactly where you’re talking about!” Neville exclaimed jubilantly,” Except I think Rain doesn’t want to run through the rain. Do you know a spell that will keep us dry?” Neville asked wearily. I knew how bad that boy was with spells, but I knew a spell that would work.

Before Hagrid started talking again, I nodded to Neville and told him the dryness spell.

” But,” I also added,” This works after we run through the rain. You can handle it for a few minutes?”

“Sure,” he replied, I don’t care that I get wet, as long as you’re at my side the entire time.”

Hagrid smiled at Neville proudly, and I blushed the color of a rose. Neville was a man for any girl to be thankful for having him as a boyfriend.

“OK, well that’s that,” I concluded,” See you around Hagrid!”

“All right Rain and Neville! Enjoy your time in Hogsmeade!” Hagrid waved at us as we ran straight into the rain together and kissed again.
