Avi's POV
It was trully one of the most beautiful necklace I've ever seen. It was perfect for Kirst. It was beautiful just like her. I took it from Mitch's hands and said
"My precious.." While getting slightly away from him.
"Okay calm down basscanon it's yours. I never planned to steel it. Now get your butt here and help me find something for Scott." He said, side-smirking at my childish attitude.
We looked carefully through every row. We needed to find this item. We were both talking about what could represent Scott and be the perfect gift for him.
"Well he is funny.." I said.
"He is kind." Mitch said.
"He is really tall." I said.
"He loooooves music!" Mitch said.
"Oh that's true! And he loves Wyatt to! Don't you think he would love to buy Wyatt something instead?"No answer.
"Mitch?" I asked.
"Okay no maybe that was a stupid idea. Mitch?"Still no answer.
I turned around, slightly worried about Mitch's silence, only to find him looking at something.
"Are you still alive?" I asked while walking to his side.
He had wide eyes and couldn't stop staring at the thing. Once I was by his side, I looked in awe at the object that was currently having Mitch speechless. That was a record. It was totally what we were looking for all this time. It was a wonderful necklace, beautiful but simple, with a music note pendant.
"This is the one." Mitch said, still staring at it.
"Can't argue with that." I said, still looking at the necklace.
"Of course you can't argue with Queen you fool." He said sassily, walking toward the cashier.I rolled my eyes and followed him.
Once we got there, we both paid the necklaces in silence, hoping we were right about chosing them from all those things in the shop. We were holding our breath. Once we received the bag, the cashier gave us an envelop with our names on it.
We looked at it, still not moving. I was hoping I could just look at it so it could open by itself, but I knew it would never happen. Still, I waited for Mitch to give me an order, or to talk, or to make a move. Really anything. He was looking at the envelop too, like it was dangerous. I think we were both afraid of what we would find in it. After a couple of seconds of staring, Mitch spoke.
"You open and I read?" He asked, still looking at the envelop like it was going to explode or something.
"Are you affraid of a piece of paper Mitch?" I said a little bit amused by the situation.
"Says the one who is now affraid of his own phone alert." He said sassily.
I had nothing to say to that. I had made a big mistake. The Queen is gonna get sassy.
"And I'm not the one who have been waiting for my bandmate to give me an order to do something usefull. Now open the damn envelop Kaplan."
"Why do I have to do it?" I asked like a child.
"Queen will do what Queen will does. Now obey you peasant." He said sassily.
Well, seems like I will be the one to open it.
I ripped the envelop open fast, just like we rip a band-aid so the pain wouldn't be as long.
Once done, I looked in it carefully.
What I saw made me want to face palm myself. We were so dumb and childish.
Why was I so afraid? The situation was ridiculous. We were afraid of a stupid little card. This was until I saw it. A phone number. A phone number away from safety and our band mates. My dear band mates, they must be scared right now, or even in pain. I would do anything for them. They were my second family, and I would never let anything happen to them. Nobody I knew and cherised needed to suffer like this stranger was planning to do. I would do anything to hold all of them in my arms again.
If only I knew.
