Fortunately or unfortunately, Harry, Dumbledore, Snape, and McGonagall all survived.
Evie and Hermione were the only ones in their shared dorm room at the time. Hermione was anxiously pacing around the room; it had been three days since the incident, after all, and Harry still hadn't awoken. Evie sat by the window in annoyance, rolling her eyes at the girl's frantic panic. Their other roommates had all gone out with their friends to different places.
The door burst open and their roommate Aurora burst in, breathless. "Hermione! Hermione, come quick; it's Harry!"
"What?" Hermione quickly rushed out of the room after her friend.
Evie watched them go. "Think he's still out cold?"
"Probably," Neptunia mewed, curled up next to her.
"Whatever," Evie shrugged.
"You should go see him," Neptunia suggested.
Evie raised an eyebrow and whistled. "Now look who's getting soft."
With nothing better to do, though, the girl/twosome/threesome (depending on how you count) headed down the hallway towards the infirmary. Evie pushed into the infirmary reluctantly. She was greeted by Madam Pomfrey, who immediately scowled, "No pets in the infirmary! Now, shoo!"
Evie glared at her. "For your information, Neptunia and Pluto are not my pets--"
"Technically, we are," Neptunia whispered.
Evie picked the cat up and dropped it outside the infirmary, releasing Pluto from her shoulder as well to let the black owl flutter down the hallway. "If you want to get shooed out, congrats, Neptunia."
Neptunia scowled and padded down the hallway silently. Then she snuck a sly look at Pluto and chased after the owl, who hooted indignantly.
Evie grumbled something under her breath and entered the infirmary. She instinctively ducked behind a curtain, however, when Hermione and Ron headed back towards the door. Evie immediately guessed that Harry was still out like a light. She waited until the two had headed out the door to class and pushed into Harry's chambers, where Dumbledore sat next to the bed. He looked up at her when she entered, amused. "Miss Evie. Have you fully recovered?"
"Sorry, I hadn't realized that there was anything to recover from," Evie quipped in response immediately, stepping around the mountain of gifts and candy on the table. "But seriously, is he still out? I didn't even blow up the entire basement." She blew at loose silver strand of her hair. "At this rate, he's going to become a male version of Sleeping Beauty."
Dumbledore didn't look pleased at the subject change. "About that...that was very dangerous, Evie."
Evie rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. I know. You can blame what's-his-face for killing Silver. Honestly, I was hoping to blow him up with it, but you were in my way." She immediately pressed her fingers to her forehead. "What am I saying? Hell, Neptunia was so right. Next time I'll be sure to blow you up with it, so be prepared."
Dumbledore gave a light laugh. "Very well, then. Shouldn't you be in class?"
"I have no interest in that nonsense," Evie said crisply. She leaned over, studying Harry's sleeping face. "I'm waking him up."
"Wait, Evie--" Dumbledore started, but he stopped as Evie raised her wand, cocking an eyebrow at him. He hesitated. "Very well, then. But please give us some time after."
Evie rolled her eyes. "Why would I want to hang around any longer than this?"
She flicked her wrist, and the blue sparks on the tip of her wand faded and sprayed a light blue mist in Harry's face. Harry's eyes immediately opened slightly, his vision blurry. He seemed to be trying to raise his hand, but then he blinked twice.
