"I can't believe this place."

"What's not to believe about it?" Neptunia asked, stretching its limbs as they stood on shore before a wall of ivy blocking the view of Hogwarts in the middle of the water. "I think it looks very nice."

"We're going to a wizard school, and they expect us to ride boats," Evie said cynically as students boarded the boats obediently. "Talk about boring. I mean, seriously."

"Well, there's nothing much you can do about it," Neptunia yawned, rubbing against Evie's right ankle. Evie and her pets were standing off in the shadows by themselves, so no one payed any attention to them. "Unless you want to ride your Firebolt, of course."

"Neptunia, has anyone ever told you that you are one genius cat?"

"Yes. Besides you, I have heard it from approximately 1625 other people."

"Now you're getting too technical. Here, hop on."

"Meow."

"Pluto, race ya!"

Evie's Firebolt shot through the air, narrowing missing the heads of some other people in the boats, especially that one large man--oh, is that the man from Diagon Alley? What's he doing here?--and straight up to the ivy wall. The Firebolt skidded to a stop, and Evie   pulled out her wand, which sparked purple. The ivy wall parted slightly, a hole emerging, and she, her pets, and her Firebolt all slid through easily. The hole closed after her like an automatic door.

Evie landed on the entranceway to the majestic building, catching her Firebolt in her right hand and swinging the bag of textbooks over her shoulder. Neptunia landed lightly next to her, licking her fur. "Do you think cats are allowed?"

"You know that I don't care if cats are allowed, I'll make them allowed," Evie responded absently.

"Did anyone ever tell you that you are one fussy princess?"

"You mean besides all the times you've said that to me? No."

"I shall consider myself lucky, then."

"You sure are one genius kitty."

"The word 'kitty' sounds awfully strange coming from your mouth."

"I don't want to hear that coming from a cat."

"Agreed."

Sometime later, the boats appeared in the distance and Evie pulled out her wand, sparking a small purple firework. As the boats docked, she sighed and glanced at Neptunia, who was no help as she gave a small "Meow."

"Should we go in first?" Evie questioned, and Neptunia blinked.

"Meow."

"Oh, you suck," She made a face. "Let's go."

"You?" A voice boomed, and Evie turned back on her heel reluctantly.

"Oh...it's the half ogre. So what?"

"Half giant!" The man barked. "What are you doing here?"

Evie held up her letter of admittance in response. "Uh, school?"

"Oh, then, welcome to Hogwarts!" He boomed, though with far less enthusiasm as he did to other people. "I'm Hagrid, Rubeus Hagrid, the--"

"Yeah, I don't care," Evie interrupted irritably. "Can I go in or not?"

"Are you a first-year?"

The voice came from behind her, and Evie sighed as she turned back around.
