Shea just graduated from high school. Which should be a good thing but she out on her own. Her mother stole her savings and kicked her out of the house. Now she lives on the streets.

"No, this is my home Shea." Mr. Alsina answered turning off the car.
"Okay, then how the hell is a English teacher able to afford a house like this?" I say looking back at the house.

Mr. Alsina shrugs it off. "I invested."
"Bull."
There's no way someone at his pay leave should be living in a house this nice. He said he had a room for me but this looks big enough to several guest rooms.
"Come on I'll have Maya start you a bath." Mr. Alsina said opening up the door. I watch him take a few steps before unbuckling my seatbelt and getting out of the car. I run to catch up with him.
A woman in a maids uniform comes to the door. I'm half expecting her to tell us to get off the private property. Instead she smiles at us and opens the door.
"Mr. Alsina," She greeted with a smile. "Welcome home."
"Hello, Maya. Would you mind starting up a hot bath." Mr. Alsina said stepping inside of the house.
"For you, anything." Maya said biting her lip and staring him up and down.
I can't help but role my eyes. Some one should tell her the sluty young maid this is getting old. Mr. Alsina doesn't seem to pay her any attention.
"Actually it isn't for me. It's for my friend." Mr. Alsina said pointing back to me.
Maya turns looks back at me noticing that I'm there for the first time. I wave at her. She scrunches up her face.
"Mr. Alsina, why did you bring back a homeless person." Maya said with a look of disgust on her face.
I want to be offended, but it's kind of the truth. I am a homeless person and I can see how this might be strange from her point of view. It was strange from my point of view. I still don't like her.
"Shea is my student and she ran into some hard times so she'll be staying with us for a while." Mr. Alsina says
"A day" I correct.
"For how ever long she needs."
"Which will consist of exactly one day."
Mr. Alsina turns back to look at me. I smile at him. I wasn't going to be a woman who need a man to take care of her. I was not my mother. Win or fail I was going to do this on my own. Mr. Alsina didn't need to get any crazy ideals in that handsome head of his.
"Okay then." Maya said looking at me and Mr. Alsina. "I'll get started on that bath. I'm assuming she'll be staying in one of the guess rooms, correct?"
Ugh, this girl seriously thinks I'm trying to still Mr. Alsina from her. She definitely wouldn't be mad to see me go. I'm tempted to extend my stay just to mess with her.
