Kirstie's P.O.V

It was such a beautiful sunrise, the sun was peaking over the horizon, blinding me and making me want to close the damn blinds, but I was too awake to fall back asleep. Hauling myself out of bed, I walked over to my calendar. I had crossed out everyday for 17 days straight, dreading my trip to Orlando. Most people would enjoy the trip I am about to take, but me on the other hand, would rather throw myself off the roof than go on this trip. I dragged my body out of my room and into the kitchen.

"Kirstin why the hell aren't you ready?" Mom yelled at me from the back door.

"Calm down woman, our flight doesn't leave till 3," I responded eating a spoonful of ceral.

"I know that, but we have to leave by 10 to be at Sabrina's house, then be at the airport by 12. I gave us about two hours to get through check-in, bagage, security, and find our terminal. Didn't I give you the itinerary?" She gave me a mom look.

I sighed, "Oh that was the stack of random papers on my bed, wasn't it?"

"Ugh Kirstin! I swear, why can't you be like your cousin Erin?!" She grunted.

"Sorry mom, but I'm not gonna be a perfect little bitchy princess like she is," I rolled my eyes.

Mom slammed her fists on the counter, "Take that back!"

"Oh hell no," I put my bowl in the sink, "I'll be ready in about 15 minutes."

"This is why people don't like you," She mumbled under her breath.

I trudged back into my room and into my bathroom. I started the shower and stepped in letting the warm water hit my face.  The thought of my mom and what she said kept playing in my mind. I know people don't like me, but it doesn't bother me. The more I push people away the less I get walked over, left, and hurt. Ever since I learned this my mom thinks I'm depressed or something, and I have tried to explain this to her but the woman won't listen to me. I guess to her everything I say is bullshit and incorrect, no wonder why dad left.

I looked over at the clock it was almost 10, "Mom, I'm putting my stuff in the car," I yelled.

"Okay. I'm right behind you," She shouted back.

By the time 10 o'clock rolled around we pulled into Sabrina's drive way. Sabrina had her kids loaded up and was waiting for eveyone, she came over and started to talk to my mom. I had my headphones in and couldn't hear much besides that she had her niece and nephew with her. A few minutes later the King's and the Haden's pulled up. The parents gathered up to talk before we head for the airport. After their little huddle, everybody got into their cars and we headed off to the airport.

A/N: The next chapter isn't really going to be a chapter I'm going to explain to you how everyone is related. And show you what Kirstie and Kolby look like in case you were wondering.
