Wherever You Are// Luke Hemmings Fanfic

Chapter three

I woke up the next day and had a major head ache, but I was still happy I was going home today.
  My mum got a wheelchair for me to sit in and rolled me down the hall to the check out part of the emergency room.
  After they told us I was free to go, we left and went home. I sat in my bed exhausted while on my laptop.
  "Ding, ding" my laptop rung out. I looked at the bottom right corner of the screen to see a email from Ashton.
  The email read: "I know you miss Luke. He wrote this song with some help from Calum, he said the song isn't really about anyone but it had so much meaning to it. I knew it was about you.." At the very bottom of the email it had a video clip.
  I clicked on it and waited for it to load, it was a video of Luke singing...
  "For a while we pretended that we that we never had to end it, but we knew we had to say good bye.
  You were crying at the airport when they finally closed the plain doors. I could barley hold it all inside.
  Torn in two. And I know I shouldn't tell you but I just can't stop thinking of you... Wherever you are. You.
  Every night I almost called you just to say it always will be you, wherever you are."
  And Luke looked up and say Ashton filming and started running after Ashton laughing and yelling "delete it! It's not finished!"
  I had tears in my eyes and a broken smile on my lips. Why won't he talk to me if he misses me?... It must be about another girl. There is no way he will ever miss me. He hasn't talked to me. Or called me or anything... It's not me he's singing about.

  I took a nap and woke up 2 hours later in a lot of pain. My foot hurt and it is now throbbing.
  "Mum!" I yelled from upstairs.
  "Hold on. I'm coming with your medicine!" She yelled back.
  I love how she knows what I'm thinking before I even have to tell her.
  She walked into me room with a banana and 2 pills.
"this pill" she held up the small one "is something to help you not get an infection," she says handing it to me. "And this one" she holds up the green one "is a pain killer" she says handing that one to me.
  "Oh okay. Well, why is there a banana?" I ask raising one eyebrow a little.
  "I thought you might be hungry." She shrugs.
  "you thought right." I smiled.
  I grabbed my water off my night stand and swallowed both my pills.
  "Okay honey, I will leave you alone for a little while and check back when you're feeling better." Mum says.
  "Okay." I smile and kiss her cheek.
  I unlock my phone screen and start listening to music, "if you can't hang then, there's the door baby. If you can't hang then there's the door! I don't want to take your precious time. Such a pretty-pretty-pretty face that turned into a pretty big waste of my time." I sat and listened to Sleeping With Sirens. One of my favorite bands.
  I went through about half of the playlist and I heard a knock on the window.
  I climbed out of my bed and looked outside, to see Ashton perched on the window seal of my balcony.
"Oh my God, Hey!" I yelled and yanked him through the window.
  We both fell on the floor with a 'boom' and I just hugged him. I had missed him so much and I know it's hard for me to see him because it's one of Luke's friends... But he's one of my best friends too.
  "Zoey... Calm down its only been 2 months since I saw you last." Ashton says, his voice was muffled by my shirt.
  "2 very hard and long months..." I told him kissing him on the cheek "2 months without my best friend and I missed you so much..."
  "Oh babe, I missed you so much too." He smiled and got up oft the floor helping me up.
  We sat on my bed and talked for a little while and my foot hurt really bad after jumping on Ashton and almost killing myself falling on the floor haha. I also told him what happened to my foot and I told him about my head and the surgerys that just happened yesterday.
  We talked for and hour and laughed. I haven't laughed like that in so long and he no one can make me laugh like he can...
  He sang to me and I was so happy just to be with him.
  "I love you loser." I told him smiling really big after he sang wrapped around your finger to me.
  "I love you too babe." He smiled.
  He has always had nicknames for me. Sometimes it's babe or kitten or lovely. He always has something to use instead of my name, but I love all the nicknames he gives me.
  "Well I better get back to the guys love." Ashton stands up and starts walking to the window.
  "We have a door you know?" I laughed.
  "And? What's your point?" He asks.
  "Maybe you should try it sometime haha." He just glared at me and then smiled to reassure me he was joking and wasn't actually mad.
  "Well goodbye." He smiles "I love you." He kisses me on the forehead then starts climbing out of my window.
  "Bye..." I smile.
  And while I watch him climb out the window I realize how lucky I am to have such a good best friend. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful friend. He was a gift from God himself...:)
