"I saw you wrote your number on the desk, why did you do that?" I heard the familiar pestering voice in my ear.
I turned after putting my stuff on the lunch table and faked a sweet smile. "Didn't your mommy ever tell you it's rude to sneak up on someone?"
"Sorry, so why did you do it?" He set his tray next to mine and began to eat.
"What even is your name?"
"See, I know your name Natalie, but you do not know mine." He stuffed his mouth full of guacamole on a chip.
I sat down next to him and looked around for any of my friends to come sit down. They were all still in line waiting for the food.
I stared at him for about five seconds and he held eye contact continuing to eat. "Okay, I'm Evan." He set his fork down to face me. "So why?"
I felt my face redden. "My uh, friend, wanted it."
"And you couldn't just tell the friend. You are lucky I erased that in the morning."
"Did you take it?"
He shook his head shoveling another spoonful of food into his giant asshole mouth. "See you around." He picked his surprisingly empty tray up, turned on his heel, and disappeared out the door to the cafeteria.
Evan what?
