Music Sounds Better With You (2Jae)

Chapter 7

I'm suddenly went out of my daze when I hear a wave of applause coming my way. I just now realized that during the whole performance I was looking directly into JaeBum's eyes. The stare that he was giving me back into my eyes made the whole performance seem like it was just me and Jaebum, JB and me. I couldn't even describe the intense look he was giving to me was so caring yet so deep, there was definitely something else there. Desire? Passion? I couldn't quite put my finger on it. All I know is that I couldn't help but to return the same gaze, the same emotion.

The curtains closed again and I'm slightly disappointed. It's over. Now he doesn't have to talk to me again. I sigh at the fact. I reluctantly pull away from the gaze of JB's eyes. I blink a few times then get up.

I walk away from the piano and head backstage. Little did I know that JB was right behind me.

I turn to face him and it starts to feel awkward. "Um, hey," I say awkwardly. He still looks at me intensely. I continue talking, which probably wasn't the best idea. "Well, that was fun right?" I ask with a little chuckle. I guess I just had a talent for making awkward conversations.

"You're right it was fun," he says all chilled back yet deep voiced, the tone was chilling to hear.

"Yeah," I say, my breath being taken away by the intense stare he was giving me, I couldn't help but to find it very attractive, causing me to turn red. "So fun," I continue awkwardly. I even awkwardly pumped my fist in the air, you can tell that I did not do that often. "Yeah, um, yeah. It was really good, enjoyable," I added while coughing in the end. I unknowingly lick my already dry lips.

Conversations between the two of us are never this awkward. I didn't know what to do, it just looked like he couldn't take his eyes off of me. What could he possibly be thinking about? Say something JB!

It's like he was reading my mind. "It was enjoyable but." But, but what? "But, I can think of one more thing that can make this moment, this night, even better."

"And what is-"

I was quickly cut off when his lips smashed into mine. I run my hands through his soft hair and down his perfect neck, marveling at the coolness of it. I work my way back up to his hair and get lost in it. I pull him closer, his heat envoloping me. His heart beating  with mine. JB pushes his lips into mine deepining the kiss.  I taste his mouth..... a mixture of velvety choclate and tangy strawberry. I relished the taste. And just like that the kiss was over.  Oh my god, I just kissed JB.  I blush a deep shade of magenta and I continue to stare at the ground, playing with my fingers. His cool fingers gently pulls my chin up.

"Hey..... you have nothing to be ashamed about," he whispers in a hushing tone. He sighs and hestitates before speaking again. "Youngjae, I really like you." I felt a shiver run down my spine.  He likes ME.... the same guy who can't look people in the eye or talk in class or to other human beings?

I just look at him, not really sure what to say. I  mean, what do you say when the guy that you've been fantazing about since the minute I laid my eyes on him finally says they like you back?

JB chuckles and adds, "This is when you say you like me too."

I wake myself from the state of shock I was in and answer back to him, shyly. "I-I like you too," I say looking down at the floor not able to meet his eyes.

He laughs. "You're so cute, do you know that Jae?" He says before connecting his lips to mine again. Just like before I go into internal bliss. Who could have thought kissing JB would be like this? I mean don't get me wrong, I've weridly thought about this before, but I always just thought of it as a dream, not something that JB would return so passionally, like he wants it too.

I break away from the kiss, not really wanting to though but just the thought of getting caught was enough for me to. He looks disappointed when our lips left each other.

"Jae, you do know how long I wanted to do that right?" He says and I nod. I didn't actually but it was nice to hear. "Okay, so then why did you pull away? So frustrating," He mumbles the last part. I laugh and he smiles at me. 

My face becomes red, even more so, when JB grabs my hand. "What are you doing?" I ask trying to seem as if the situation isn't making me do 1,000 summersaults in my stomach.

"To get ready for the winter dance. I mean, since you're going to be my date and all," JB says nonchantly.

He must notice the confusion and state of shock on my, he adds, "Hey, it's okay. Just relax."

And weirdly, I was able to.
