Leagueless

The Shield

The sun begins to rise on a new day. Ike is already up. He slips on a blue long sleeve shirt and jeans. Then proceeds to get his armor. First his gauntlets that go from his wrist to he elbow. Checks to make sure there are three small throwing knives hidden in each. His chest piece covers the top half of his torso and connects to the back piece with leather staps. Finally his shin gaurds. He looks at his white light armor in the mirror. "Looks so good after a good cleaning" He comments to himself. He slides on a belt and clips two magic disks on each side. These hold the weapons he uses. He slides on his blue and white shoes. He grabs his bag as he rushes out the door. The street are silent except for his running. Ike looks at the sun rise as he makes his way to Dungeon Burgers.

"The meat you brought yesterday was some of the best I have ever seen! So, here is a bonus" exclaimed Tony as Ike runs in. He slides two brown bags across the counter.

"You know I can't eat all of this!" Ike laughs.

"Give it to a friend or another dungeon crawler."

"Okay okay I will." Ike slides the food into his bag. In the back of his mind he knows no one will take it. League dungeon crawlers wouldn't give him the time of day. While solos see it and a hand out and weakness to take it.

Ike runs out the door and heads to the dungeon. Calla is inside the dungeon building waiting for dungeon crawlers to come through. "Good morning Ike. Early as possible I see" Says Calla.

"Oh am I a minute early from my usual time?" Ike smarts.

Calla types at the Dungeon Crawler Information Center. It keeps track of the crawlers that are in the dungeon. "All good to go in! A couple other solos are in but no leagues so should get to your spot with ease."

Ike puts his hands to his magic disks. A swords appears in each hand. "Thanks Calla. See you once I'm done!" He jumps down the stairs to the dungeon. He hit the bottom of the steps. A bar appears above his head. Ike looks up and comments, "Hello once again health bar."

The dungeon is lighted by Glow Gems on the wall and ceiling. Smile creature appear magically from the walls. Ike smiles and launches forward striking down the slimes. The slimes disintegrate as the die leaving behind small water droplet looking gem, simply called a Droplet. Ike picks these up and puts them in a side pocket of his bag.

The droplets and other Elemental Gems, or EG, are used as currency. Each type of EG has an EV or elemental value. Item are priced in EV and bought with EG.

Ike grips his swords and runs through the floors of the dungeon slowly climbing downward. Till he reaches floor 15. He runs through the maze like design of the maze. He finds the spawn point for a bull like monster with razer sharp horns.

"Bring it on I need your meat!" He takes his stance. Swords at the ready. The bull charges full speed, but Ike side steps and slashes it legs as it passes. "Done this thousands of times but the thrill never dies!" The bull chargers and Ike charges at it. He jumps at the last second. He plunges his blades into the beasts back slicing it open. The bull let's out a cry. Ike ends it quickly with a series of quick slashes. It leaves a slab of meat and a few Droplets behind. He puts away the Droplets. Then he pulls a water container out of his bag and rinses the meat off. Then pulls out and ice crystal and a bag. He packages the meat with the crystal so it will stay fresh. He packs everything away. Finds a rock against the wall and sits and waits.
