Vampire Heart

Chapter 1

I knelt down on the floor and packed my last few things in my suitcase. I was sad yet happy to leave my house and my school that I went to. I was sorta excited to see my older brother there. I finished my packing.... so what do I do next? That's right! Say goodbye to my beloved parents. My mother and father were in the living room. I walked into the living room, and the second my eye met my parents' eyes my eyes were full of tears. I tried to hide my sobs but it was hopeless. My parents stood up and started hugged me. My mother quietly pulled something out of her pocket and slipped it in my hand. My mother leaned near my face and whispered in my ear."Take good care of this Rima." She then drew her face away from my ear and looked at me. I opened my hand and looked down. There, in my hands laid a beautiful necklace, with a red heart attached to it. "Thanks mum. I'll take extra good care of this." My father told me that my cousin, Rio will be here in a few minutes. He also said to me; "Rima, have fun at your new high school." I looked up and nodded. "I will." I answered back. "Rima!!" I turned around. It was Rio. I could see she was trying to hide her sadness but... that didn't work. I looked at Rio, then my parents and nodded.

I walked out of the house and smiled at Rio. She smiled back. "You ready?" Rio asked. "Yea......" I replied even though it wasn't the right answer. "I'm sad too Rima, I know how you feel." Then she puts her arm around my shoulder. Our taxi is waiting in front of my house. Then the driver hopped out of the taxi. We handed our suitcases to the driver and loaded them on in the back part of the taxi. We stepped into the taxi and put our seatbelt on. We drove off, leaving me staring at the window. I clearly knew this was the day, that I'd have to....... To leave home.
