Hey readers! Welcome back to the next chapter of The Deal.  I hope you al enjoy the chapter and continue to read.

Another thing I would like to say is that through the 14th to around the 24th I will not be able to write. Instead I will be in Florida with my two nephews, and my sister.

Chapter 5

It was third period English. I was sitting in the back of the classroom with my two sisters and Deliliah's boyfriend. Todd had moved to the front of the room because he had started to refuse to even look at me let alone talk to me in school or out of school. It hurt a little to know that he wanted nothing to do with me, but in a way I knew it would be much worse when he found out about Lucas and I even when that relationship was fake.

During English we read Pride and Predigest though I wasn't really paying much attention. Instead I kept getting annoying text messages from none other than Lucas. He kept bugging me saying "hey baby" or "my love" knowing that it bugged me. Two though could play at that game, "Hey love." I text back to him.

A couple of minutes later I got a text back from him, "What's up love?" It read. I rolled my eyes. Yeah he was defiantly trying to bug me.

For a few minutes I thought about what to say, than wrote "English, reading.. The teacher keeps stopping every five minutes to talk about something that happened in the novel. At this point I am not even paying attention."

This time a message came quicker and it said just three simple letters "lol,' and I smiled at that.

"Why are you smiling?" Deliliah asked next to me. She was also pretending to pay attention with the book in front of her face while instead she was kissing Justin. For being innocent, I wasn't so sure she was innocent.

"Nothing." I whispered back putting my cell phone back in my pocket. I sure hoped I didn't get another text message from Lucas otherwise she would be questioning even more so.

"Well it must be something because you have a big smile on your face."

"It is just something that a friend of mine told me is all. It was funny." I answered quickly.

"Okay." She said before turning around back to her boyfriend, though she didn't seem to believe me to much.

When the bell rang about twenty minutes later, and our teacher gave us homework everyone started to pack up to leave the class room. As I was packing I got yet another text message from Lucas who was telling me he was waiting outside for me. 'Great.' I thought. 'Hell starts already.'  Out loud I said, "You ready to go?" To my sisters who just nodded, and started walking toward the door.

When the four of us got out of the classroom Lucas was indeed waiting for me. "Hey love." He said staring at me with a smile on his face. The smile though was fake, and was actually only there to see what others would say.

"Hey-" I started before Serinity interrupted me.

"Are you dating Lucas?" She practically yelled. At the sound of Lucas's name everyone turned to look who was dating him, and the worst of it all they were all staring at me waiting for my answer. Lucas was also staring at me waiting for my answer with a smug smile on his face because he knew just the idea of that, and that how my sister had reacted to it would bother me.

"Yeah I am actually." I answered her looking at everyone else before turning to look at Lucas who was just starting now. "We haven't been dating long though." I added as an after thought before grabbing onto Lucas's hand smiling up at him. It was my turn to bug him because I knew he didn't like the whole touching thing in a relationship, not unless sex was involved that is.
