My parents. I felt like the whole room was spinning. they were sitting with a red headed girl that looked a little bit younger than me. they were all laughing, eating, and having a good time. That reminded me of all the fun times we had when we went out. was Aubrey right? did they actually replace me? well now was the time to find out. I got up from our table and I was determined to say something to them, but I felt something holding me back.

"are you sure you wanna do this?" Danielle said with her icy blue eyes staring straight through me.

I nodded and ripped from her grip. I walked over there and tapped my father on the shoulder. when he turned around he just looked shocked, and so did my mother.

I gave him the fakest big smile that I could do "aren't you going to introduce me to your little friend?" I tried to mustard through my tightly gritted teeth.

"Carter! uhmm... this is our new.... aahh.... daughter.." my father said rubbing the back of his neck

"your new daughter hmmm!!! so your replaced me!!!" My voice started to raise a little and people started to stare around us

"Carter stop it." My mother said giving me a glare

"No I'm not going to stop it! your replaced me! absolutely replaced me! great to know you guys loved me!" I yelled and stomped back to our table. I sat down with a huff and crossed my arms across my chests.

"I can't believe they replaced me." I mumbled playing with the straw of my drink. I felt warm little trickles fall down my face and fall down onto the table.

"don't think about them car. just think about your lovely family your going to meet in a few days. there going to love you." Colton said moving over next to me and rubbing my back

"Yeah well what if they dont? what if they want nothing to do with me?" I cried

Colton pulled me into a tight hug while I cried in his chest.

"don't think about that. think about the pizza were gonna eat." He said

I cracked a smile and wiped my eyes "I guess I can be ok. only because I'm eating pizza."

"your too much" Danielle laughed

Chloe walked over with our large buffalo pizza and placed it onto the table. we all took two pieces and started to dig in.

"So what's been happening? I just heard about that huge blow up you just had." Chloe said motioning me to move over so she can sit down

I titled my head to the side in confusion "kitchen drama. happens all the time." she said

I nodded and continued eating my pizza. Danielle and Colton explained the whole story to Chloe who was patiently listening and nodding her head in agreement.

"I'm so happy your determined to meet your real family. most people would just give up." Chloe said playing with my hair

"Yeah well, I'm not a giving up type. I'm meeting them. I'm gonna show my stupid replacement family that I can go on without them. even though they don't believe in me, I don't care! I don't need them. there just extra baggage that I don't need slowing me down " I said then taking a sip of my root beer.

"that was deep." Colton sniffed and pretended to wipe his eyes

"your such a loser!" Danielle squealed and threw a straw at him

Chloe and I laughed "I'll be right back. I'm gonna go get your check."

"still can't believe you guys are going without me. leaving me behind for who knows how long!" Colton pretend cried and put his head down on the table

I patted his back "if I move in with them, y'all can always visit on summer holidays and celebration days and stuff!"

Colton nodded and Chloe came back with our check. we all paid our halves and said our goodbyes to Chloe and left. we all piled into Colton's car and cracked the tunes.

Miley Cyrus's We Can't Stop was blaring through the speakers the whole way home. once we got home, I went straight up to the guest bedroom, kicked off my shoes, and changed into sweatpants. I was beat. I flopped onto my bed and pulled the duvet up to my chin and fell asleep to the sound of my breathing.
