My eyes were trained on Milania who stared back at me with a look of hatred. We had taken a seat across from Xander and Milania then beside me was Evie and next to her was my other idiotic cousin 'Jace'.

I noticed Xander nudge Milania slighty and whisper something but instead I turned away to look over at Jace who was grinning widely at Evie. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Of course.

I turned back to the others but this time Milania had a wide grin planted on her face. I knew whys he was smiling but didn't say anything. Her eyes left mine and went to Evie's and I didn't even bother look at there eye conversation.

"So Blondie, you free tonight?" Jace was the first to initiate proper conversation. Okay, not proper but, he was the first one to talk.

I noticed Evie tense up and shift slightly, obviously being the only blonde at the table. Unless Jace was hitting on Xander which I highly doubt.

"Uh" She didn't say anything but I didn't help in any way. I tried to turn away but I couldn't help my eyes continuously return to them, slightly concerned at what Jace was going. It wouldn't be a surprise if he was trying to feel her up under the table.

My jaw ticked.

When I looked away, I once again caught Milania's eyes. I raised my eyebrows, wondering what the hell she was staring at only for a grin to appear on her face again.

Really?

"Calm down, I'm messing" Jace chuckled. I had zoned out from whatever he had said to her, "You're to beautiful to f*ck on the first date. I mean, as much as I'd love to see that bod-"

"Jace" Xander stopped him, all of us noticing how nervous Evie was getting.

"Sorry" He grinned, "I'm joking about, she knows that. I wasn't kidding when I said you were gorgeous though" He turned to her. I noticed her bite her lip and a small smile appear on her face. This idiot.

She wasn't used to compliments, which made me slightly feel bad.

An unusual hissing like noise came from Milania and all eyes went to her. She had one hand in the air, moving around.

"What are you doing?" Xander asked. What did he see in that girl?

"The smell of f*ckboy was stinking up the room. Just trying to get it away" I couldn't help but raised my eyebrows when she said this. Maybe she wasn't so bad all the time. Xander laughed beside her and of course Jace didn't look to happy before recovering quickly, "Jealous you aren't getting enough attention babe?"

"I get all the attention I want from him" She snapped, nodding to Xander.

"She's very clingy" He added and Milania shot him a glare, "I'm messing Mils"

I heard a chair move next to me and when I looked I noted Jace had moved his chair closer to Evie. For some reason, I wanted to grab Evie's chair and pull it away before realizing how stupid that sounded.

"I bet you don't get as many compliments as you should" He tilted his head and I noted her face turn a slight pink color.

"I-I, well.."

She cut off her own sentence when Jace brought his hand to her rm, sliding it down it slowly. "you're so gorgeous, you know that?"

Her chest rose up and down heavily.

Don't look there.

"Uhm no-"

I couldn't help it, this was p*ssing me off. Jace treating her like that, Evie actually taking his bullsh*t seriously.
