I felt a hand on my shoulder, "I tried to tell you"

I stared at her in shock. It wasn't a joke, she genuinely looked confused, scared almost.

"W-who are you?"

"Evie... you don't remember me?"

She stayed silent for a moment, once again trying to speak but her words were slurred. The nurse passed her water which she drank. Her eyes returned to mine, "My name is Evang-" She looked to the nurse.

"Evangeline" She finished.

I turned back to Xander who had a pained expression on his face. I had no words, I didn't know what to say.

Looking to the nurse, I frantically begged her, "When will she get her memory back? How long? You can get it back, right?"

"It can take a while... but sometimes it never returns... I'm so sorry, Seth" There were tears in her eyes because she knew how often I visited.

"No" I shook my head, "She has to remember, Evie you you have to remember! I'm Seth, you're Evie"

She stared up at me, confusion flooded her face and tears prickled at her eyes "P-pl-please leave" She raised her hand, pointing to the door.

It felt like someone punched me in the gut. She didn't remember...

"Evie, no. Just think! You can't forget me, please don't forget! Why can't she remember?!" I shouted at the nurse.

Evie blocked her ears and shut her eyes, "OUT OUT! HELP!" I was scaring her. Tears strolled down her cheeks and I didn't know what to do. I was moving though and it took me a moment to realize Xander was dragging me away.

He closed the door behind us and I couldn't move. I was numb.

"Seth" Milania hugged me, "She doesn't know any of us" I felt her tears soak my top then she pulled away. Xander, for once, didn't look jealous.

"Everything" I muttered.

"What?"

"Everything I love, EVERYTHING I LOVE, DISAPPEARS FROM ME!" I snapped. I was angry at myself for being so upset, for letting this happen.

I went to push past them and Xander roughly grabbed my arm. He tugged me toward him, glaring at me, "Seth. This is your choice. You go home, pack her things and forget about her or you fight, you try to make her remember or at least like you"

"She's scared of me, Xander" I was surprised we weren't punching each other, "Do you really think she'll want to come back?"

Silence fell, "Even if she learns to like me, she won't be ready to randomly move in with me. I have to pack her stuff sooner or later"

Milania's tears didn't stop as she stared at me. Our anger toward each other was gone and she felt my pain. She felt sorry for me which was worse.

"Oh no" Sofia murmured, her eyes looked beyond us.

We all turned around.

Nick.

He walked toward us, flowers in his hand, "Who the hell told him?!"

"Not us" Xander spoke up.

Nick slowed as he noticed all of us, standing outside the door. His eyes went to all of us before walking over and clearing his throat, "I didn't know you would all be here"

"Who told you?" I growled.

"Told me what?" His eyes widened, "Oh my god.... what happened?"

We stayed quiet but he knew and relief flooded his face, "Is she allowed visitors?"
