I sat there thinking about how my life would have been if I was still with my parents. My mom and dad was drug addicts, they gave us up at the age of 16. They basically told us we was grown enough to make it on our own and to never split up. They put us out. They said we was a disturbance to their everyday life. Me and my sister had never met any of our immediate family, it was just the four of us. I had a twin sister, she was my everything. We did everything together and when we was taken away we split up. I haven't seen or heard from my parents nor my sister in five years. I was taken away from them at the age of 16 and lived with my foster family for 5 years. I am now 21 and have the best job anyone can ask for. I was a pediatrician at the client oak wood. I loved my job and I most definitely loved kids.
I was taken out of my thought by getting a text from my mother (well foster mother). She was caucasian. She was one of the sweetest women I knew and I actually loved her. She's taught me so much and pushed me until I was living comfortable, worried free. She had lots of rules for me as a women, but her main one was no children's before engagement or marriages.
Motherbear❤️😘: Hey sweetie. We're having a family dinner tonight, your sister has a surprise she wants to share with everyone. Bring a case of water if you can.
Me: Okay mom. I'll see you at seven.
I was on my lunch at work when I noticed it was time for me to clock back in.
I went to the front where the waiting area was and called my patient "Asia Scott". Her and a tall Mixed Guy with light gray eyes walked towards me.
They both followed me to the back. I took her height, weight and temperature before giving her her shots. She was one so her shot record needed to be up to dated.
She was a pretty girl with curly hair and her dad eyes "your all set pretty girl" she gave me a weak smile and her dad picked her up.
"And this is for you sir", I said as I handed him her shot book. We locked eyes and he gave me a smile
"I'm sorry to ask but can I please have your number", he asked.
I looked at him and blushed. He was a nice looking guy and I wouldn't mind getting to know him but...
"I'm sorry but, I'm unable to flirt on the job" I told him
I walked both of them to the waiting area and confirm Asia's next appointment.
Three hours had passed and I was finally leaving work. I had to run to the grocery store for mom to pick up a case of water like she insisted.
I walked into the grocery store and picked up a case of water and went into the check out line. I pulled out my wallet and was about to pay until someone tapped my shoulder.
"Excuse me you dropped this"
I turned around and spotted the man who've been on my mind since he asked for my number at the doctor office. Maybe me seeing him for the second time after Turing him down because I was at work was a sign. Maybe we are meant to get to know each other, or maybe start something new.
"Oh, thank you sir" I said as he handed me my lipstick
"It's good i ran into you again, now that your not at work I can finally get your number sweetheart". He said as he smirked
I blushed at his cockiness and gave him my number. He was so bold and it seemed like he actually wanted to get know me. I mean I wasn't seeing anyone so why not. I haven't had a relationship since I was 18 years old. He broke up with me because I wasn't ready to lose my virginity, so ever since I've been single.
"I'm Gia, what's your name?"
"My name is Mike" he said as I handed him his phone back.
The cashier began ringing up my water and I pulled out my debit card ready to swipe until Mike stopped me.
"I got it baby" he said
I just smiled and thanked him.
I walked out the store to my car.
Mike caught up with me with Asia inside the shopping cart.
"Maybe dinner" he said
I smirked and got in my car and drove to my moms house.
