{Caroline's POV}

"It's your decision," And-Jam said, pushing the cold metal barrel closer to my head. Hana looked just as afraid as I did. "Save one, and the other dies."

"Liny." I heard Hana peep beside me. "I want you to take care of Chandler for me."

"No Han-" I blurted out to her before the man pushed the barrel closer on my head.

"Shut up you two!"

Chandler was in tears, he cared for us both, I just knew it. He was held back, the guy's arms wrapping around his upper arms. This type of thing had to have been hard on him, considering he cared.

I was his best friend, who made him come to find her brother. She was his girlfriend, the one he's known longer and hasn't seen her until now. He bound to pick her over me.

"I-I-" he stuttered, his voice cracking. "I just-"

Then a gunshot.

Hana and I both fell as everyone turned to face the shooter.

Connor; beaten, bruised, and bloody.

He held the gun with the one good arm it looked like he had, the other was holding his stomach.

"Cell 28?" And-Jam yelled. "Get that kid back to the cell!"

Connor was the kid from Cell 28?

Oh, he is going down in hell where he belongs.

"Connor!" I yelled to him, trying to run to him, but And-Jam grabbed me by the arm and pulled me back.

"You little brat!"

A loud smack was heard, echoing throughout the air as I fell to the ground, groaning in pain.

Dead silence.

"Caroline!" I heard Connor yell. I sat up, holding my cheek, and he started running/stumbling over to me.

"Maybe this can shut you up." I heard And-Jam say before cocking his gun and shooting my left hip.

I let out a scream of pain and fell back. Tears welled my eyes as I saw Connor being held back. I screamed again and tears poured out. And-Jam just laughed ad I screamed. I looked to Chandler and he was just being held back by other guys, practically bawling his eyes out.

Hana somehow managed to break free from the other guys holding her. She defensibly stood in front of me, both arms out.

"Leave her alone." She stated bluntly. I tried to stop her but my hip caused too much pain for me to make an effort to.

"H.H., move and let me finish what I started."

"My name is Hana. I'm not moving."

"Fine, I'll have more fun killing you then."

And-Jam cocked his small pistol once again and this time, he placed the barrel on Hana's forehead. He placed his finger on the trigger and she still didn't move.

She was really going to die for me.

"HANA! ST-"

BOOM!

Hana's lifeless body to the ground with a thump.

"HANA!" Chandler yelled, trying his hardest to break free from the men. I knew he was heartbroken seeing that she was dead now, and right in front of me.

"Well, she didn't do much did she." And-Jam said and kicked her body a little.

"Don't touch her." I choked out. He looked at me like I just said the worst thing in the world.

"She's dead."

"It doesn't matter!" I shouted, trying to stand. I pushed through the pain and stood anyway. "She was still a human being! What's your problem anyway?"

"She betrayed our people, standing up for people who deserved to die." He said with gritted teeth, leaning close and looking me in the eye. I quickly looked over and saw Chandler free from the guys, holding a gun in his hands, ready to shoot. I put up a finger and told him to wait.

"Yeah, think again." I looked to Chandler. "Go!"

A gunshot went off and the man fell to the ground, bullet in shoulder. I quickly picked up And-Jam's gun as the other men started searching for their gun and shooting.

The two guys that held Connor were surprisingly defenseless.

"CONNOR, DUCK!" I yelled to him. He did as he was told, ducking down but still being held by the arms. I shot the two guys, watching Connor become free.

Then there was a sudden sharp pain in the same spot where I was shot again, letting out another loud scream and sinking to the ground. I held my wound and closed my eyes tightly, grunting in pain.

Another gunshot was heard, watching And-Jam finally falling down, a knife falling out of his hand, and a gunshot finally in his head.

I opened my eyes and saw Chandler and Connor appear around me.

"Take off her shirt." Chandler said and looked to Connor.

"What?" Connor shouted out. I have two boys right next to me, one is my brother and the other is Chandler Riggs. I kind of would like to not be shirtless either, Connor has a point.

"Do you want her to live or not?" Chandler said back to Connor, firmly. He sighed and I grunted.

"It's going to be fine. Just look at me." Chandler reassured me, and put my head in his lap.

My breathing fastened a little and Connor tried to stay calm. My shirt slipped off me and they pressed it against my wound. I let out a really painful grunt and tears formed again.

"Try wrapping the shirt around the gash." Chandler told Connor.

"Gash?!" I blurted out. "Oh my god, is it bad?"

"Yeah, but don't worry." Connor said, tying my shirt.

Man, I didn't think I was losing this much blood. It started to become hard to keep my eyes open.

"No, no, no, no!" Connor started freaking out, tears were finally forming in his eyes, holding my face. "Liny, please stay with me!"

"I'm not dying from a walker right now, that's for sure."

"Liny, you're not dying."

"Connor, stay strong please, you can be. I know you are. Something made you stronger, whether it was with or without me, you'll be fine." I said to him, looking into his eyes, wiping his tears away. "You're Connor Baxter, you've taken a horrible beating, about 8 times just looking at you. You've been alone, for at least a week. You're still alive."

"Liny, your going to be okay." His voice was barely audible, cracking a little.

I took my bloody index finger and wrapped it around his clean one.

"I love you, Connor."

"I love you too, Caroline."
