"I ponder of something great / My lungs will fill and then deflate / They fill with fire / Exhale desire / I know it's dire / My time today / I have these thoughts / So often I ought / To replace that slot / With what I once bought / 'Cause somebody stole / My car radio / And now I just sit in silence."
Car Radio by Twenty One Pilots
<Connor's POV>
"I ponder of something great."
I reached for the girl's bag with my foot and tried to loop the strap around my foot. I tried lift my bag with my foot but the bag was so heavy (it was like it was filled with rocks) for my injured leg I couldn't pick it up. I pulled it closer so I could try to pick it up.
"My lungs will fill and then deflate."
I breathed in harshly as I picked up the bag, trying my best to ignore the shooting pain bursting throughout my arm. The bag clunked in my arms as I held it. I tried hold the heavy bag with arms, searching for something, anything, that would help me to reach someone. I switched arms occasionally as I searched, trying my best to stay quiet since the girl was sleeping in a tent nearby. My arms began to burn from my recent injuries but I soon found something useful.
A walkie talkie.
"They fill with fire, exhale desire."
I dropped the bag quietly, relived as the pain vanished a bit, but it was still slightly there. I held the metal object in my hand, and observed the directions. I turned on the radio as a static sound poured out from the speakers. I quickly found the speak button and pressed it, hearing as the static shut off and allowed me to speak. I heard rustling as the girl turned over, and then continued to snore softly. I changed the channel while still holding the button. I landed on a channel 2, skipping channel 1 since that was the one that the girl's people used.
"Hello? Anybody? If there's anyone there I need for you help me." I said lowly into the walker talkie. I took a quick glance at the tent then redirected my attention back to the radio. "I'm not going to talk long, and I'm not going to wait for a response, but I'm going to count on whoever this is to help me. I was kidnapped by some girl and she has me tied to a tree in the middle of the forest. I'm somewhere by a prison set in Georgia, more specifically for The Walking Dead. Please come help me, remember I was tied to a tree in the forest by the prison set for The Walking Dead. Please."
I quickly switched channels and repeated the same thing each time through.
"I know it's dire, my time today."
I finally shut off the radio and put it back it the bag. I pushed the bag back, well as good as I could, and nodded off as it started to rain.
I've only been gone a night and I felt myself change just to survive.
I wasn't afraid.

<Connor's POV>
Caroline's grip let go softly as she passed out from blood loss, hopefully. Tears sprung to my eyes and a couple fell, but I quickly went blank, wiping the tears away.
"Connor, we gotta get out of here or she won't make it." Chandler said, placing his arms under her body, and held her in his arms. I stood up with him as his shirt began to get coated in her blood, he didn't mind her at all it seems, since she was pretty light anyway.
"I have these thoughts."
We walked out the front gates and into the dawn of day, seeing the dirt road ahead I remember walking on. I tried my best to ignore the pain of the beating and memories of my almost three days here. Chandler and I picked up guns before we left so we wouldn't be defenseless.
