Tents

Now that Dean was in a better mood he was more enthusiastic to help Castiel put up the tent which he knew the man would struggle to do by himself even if he was an angel.

But after ten minutes of struggling to even put the poles into the tent Dean was getting frustrated "Cas can't you just use your angel mojo to put it up?" He groaned as a pole jabbed him in the stomach.

"No Dean that would defeat the point of camping if I used my powers. Come on we'll get it done soon." He replied, trying to encourage Dean who had almost lost hope in them having shelter at all tonight.

Dean let out a grieving sigh but nodded and continued to help Castiel put up the tent and after another half hour the tent was up. A little lopsided but still standing.

Although it looked like a mansion when they looked over at Sam's tent and saw the younger Winchester lying on the ground with a frustrated expression on his face, his long limbs completely entangled with the canvas of the tent.

Dean couldn't help but laugh "Dude you are crap at putting up tents." He chuckled and Sam scowled.

"If you were doing it by yourself then yours wouldn't be any better Dean." He snapped

Dean continued to laugh at Sam whilst Castiel came up with a solution "Sam why don't you get some firewood and me and Dean will put up your tent?"

Both brothers groaned at that, Dean because he had had enough trouble putting up one tent let alone Sam's too and  Sam didn't want to go and get firewood but a stern look from Castiel had them both reluctantly doing what the angel had asked of them;It was the least they could do for the man who had saved their lives on countless occasions.

Another few minutes later and now there were two tents standing in their small camping spot but Sam was yet to return from the depths of the forest with the firewood and Dean being Dean he started freaking out.

"What if a demon got him?" He suggested instantly, his hand going straight to the salt gun that he always kept in his pocket and he started pacing anxiously around the area, showing his worry.

Castiel gently grabbed Dean by the shoulders to stop him pacing "Dean calm down I'm sure he's fine." He assured him, trying to calm the older hunter down because he hated it when Dean was like this, plus this trip was supposed to be demon and worry free. Afterall they deserved a break from everything that was going on and the current unusual quiet period with few or no cases made this the perfect time to do it and Castiel didn't want it to be ruined by a demon.

Dean looked up at Castiel, his worried green eyes meeting the soft, trustworthy blue ones of the angel standing in front of him and his tense muscles started to relax "Okay. Sorry Cas I'm just so used to it that by this point if Sam isn't back within five minutes from anywhere, even the bathroom I get worried and think he's been kidnapped or killed.." he sighed

"One of the many disadvantages from this job." He muttered whilst Castiel cotinued to give Dean that gentle look so when he looked back up again he stopped worrying as much.

"He's fine Dean. We can go look for him." Castiel told him and grabbed his Angel blade just in case he needed it but he doubted it because this area was very void of demons or any supernatural creatures at the moment like everywhere else so he doubted there would be any danger.

Dean nodded and gripped his salt gun tighter and then followed Castiel into the forest after he'd grabbed a flashlight because it was starting to get dark out and even with his good hunter vision he still had it as a precaution.

Although it seemed this precaution wasn't good enough because Dean suddenly walked into a low tree branch.

"Son of a bitch!" He cursed and Castiel looked at him.

"Dean did that tree attack you?" he asked innocently and Dean sighed "No I walked into it...Let's keep going."

He angrily snapped the branch off and threw it out of the way before continuing to walk "Sammy?!" He called out, shining the torch around and trying to catch a glimpse of his moose-like brother when suddenly he jumped out from behind a tree, causing Dean to let out a blood curdling scream and fall right on his backside.

Sam laughed his head off whilst Dean glared at him, still shaken "Sam you're such a bitch!" He shouted angrily whilst Sam just laughed.

Castiel awkwardly stood nearby, watching the two brothers.

"That was for making me go get wood jerk." Sam smirked and Dean just growled angrily "Have you at least got any wood? Otherwise this whole thing was not worth me crapping myself."

"Of course I have." Sam replied, gesturing to the pile of wood beside him "I was waiting for you to come and find me so you could help me carry it back because I may be strong but I can't carry it all by myself." He added and with a sigh Dean reluctantly picked up some of the logs whilst Castiel only picked up some of the small sticks which were left once the brothers had picked up all of the heavy logs, they not seeming to trust the angel with carrying the heavy logs.

A few minutes later the trio had returned to their campsite with all their firewood.

"Now what do we do with it Cas?" Dean asked and Castiel smiled

"We make a fire."
