Chase took me back to his house, which was only about five minutes away from the school. We pulled into an early 1900's Victorian driveway which led to a white garage. When I got out, I followed the diagonal pathway front steps, surrounded by shrubbery, to the turquoise front door. The porch was a eggshell color with even whiter guardrails. The windows were tall and had turquoise shutters on them, to match the door. Chase put the key into the door and opened the door forcefully. I could tell he was still pretty steamed about the situation but what he did to Derek left me uneasy being in his presence. I know Chase wouldn't hurt me but how do I know that exactly?

The interior of his house was spacious and bright. The floor was freshly polished to look like dark oak floor. As soon as I entered, there was a staircase to the right which led to a chain of bedrooms and a straight path that broke off into a left path. I took that path which led me to the dining room. There was a large birchwood table with matching chairs surrounding it. A crystal chandelier dangling above the middle of the table and a long wooden hutch filled with fine glasses and china pushed to the back wall. The dining room diverged into a living room on the left and the kitchen on the right. I glanced into the living room which looked fancier than any other living room I had encountered with. There was another crystal chandelier in the middle of the room, a circular glass table surrounded by white modern couches with throw pillows resting against it. The room was painted a bright white and the floor was a dark wood with a zigzag pattern in it. The windows were open, blowing the white silk curtains at the movements of the wind. I cut through the dining room once again to get a look at the kitchen. The kitchen was smaller than all the rooms with only a granite counter, a black refrigerator pushed the the far corner and a stove underneath a back window. There was a double sink underneath a long strip of overhanging dark cabinets.

"Come with me" Chase said, grabbing my hand and nudging me in his direction. He took me up the stairs, down the hallway and into his bedroom. His room was painted a baby blue with tons of baseball memorabilia plastered on the wall. I'm talking posters, pictures, autographs and signed baseballs on shelves. He had a beanbag chair in the shape of a baseball glove. Even his bed was covered in a thick blanket displaying one of his favorite players on it.

"You must really like baseball" I said, chuckling a bit. Chase broke my laughter with his lips upon mine but I immediately pulled away with a frown on my face. He didn't choose to believe me on Saturday and now he was all over me. What the hell does he take me for?

"What's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head and took a step back from him.

"You didn't believe me on Saturday, so why should I even like you?" I demanded. Don't get me wrong, I still felt strongly about Chase but his actions speak louder than words and with that night there was no action.

"I'm sorry" He pleaded. "It was just a lot to take in. I thought you actually did it. Luke isn't the ugliest dude in the world. Then I realized you couldn't have done it" .

I turned my back to him and crossed my arms.

"And why is that?" I stated. "How can you be so sure I didn't do it?". I felt his warm arms wrap around me and I heard him smile with a exasperated sigh betwixt his lips.

"Because I know how you feel about me Nick. I know you wouldn't jeopardize that" He said softly. "I known this since my first day of school when you couldn't take your eyes off of me".

I'll admit it, he got a smile out of me with that. To be honest, I couldn't stop smiling after that. I felt his soft lips pressed against my cheek and his warm hands run through my hair. I quickly turned around to face him, I noticed his eyes were getting teary.
